“Other then a place to sleep...want worth it”

We got to the room and absolutely loved the view and couldn't belive how much we could see.then we saw the one chair in the room and there was a huge old blood stain.the outlets didnt hold in the cords for anything and 2 out of 3 lights didn't work.there was no short curtain and we didn't think it would bee a problem but then we ssw that water was going everywhere.but the handle/shower valve was stripped and alle we got was super hot scolding water.the toilet ran all night and drive us crazy.its pretty bad when you had to body the t.v.so you don't hear it at 3 in the morning. We let ther hotel front desk know everything ever it was as if it want anything major and they heard it all before.the 3 of us couldn't belive how much really could go wrong.

“Yikes this place should be shut down”

The shuttle was very slow; the drive not friendly; the restaurant was shut down for repairs, garbage in my bathroom hadn't been emptied, no hairdryer, WIFI only in lobby, no coffee or any food at all available in the hotel. This was like a bad movie set.

“Horrible”

We got to the hotel, checked in and went up to our room. The Hallway had some sort of dirty smell, that i couldnt figure out. As we put our belongings down, i turned on the AC, only to get an ear piercing rining along with a loud obnoxious noise. There were cobb webs between the wall and the HVAC unit. Something told me to check the air filter. Upon doing so, i found that the air vents looked like they havent been cleaned in months. I took a picture of it. It came time to shower, and as i did, i was scorned by hot water, followed by cold water. Hot cold, hot cold, thoughout the shower. The next morning, my friend found two blood stains on a pillow that he didnt even use. Now in most hotels, if you put a towel on the ground in the bathroom, that means that a new one is requested. After coming back from a long walk in the city, something told me to check the towels. They were hanging up still damp! This tells me that all the maid did was take them off the ground, and folded them and hung them back up. The front doors slam shut, so you will hear that all night long. There is no coffee pot nor refrigerator or even a safe to put your expensive belongings in. Some of the plug-ins didnt work, and i was actually able to push them in while trying to plug in my laptop. The WIFI was so slow i put up my computer and used my phone.

“i WILL NEVER RETURN”

THE BATHROOM HAD DEAD FLIES IN AND AROUND THE TUB. THE TUB WAS DINGY AND THE TOWELS WERE HARD, YELLOW AND STIFF. THE SHEETS HAD SMALL STAINS ON THEM. THERE WAS NO REMOTE FOR THE TV AND WHEN I ASKED FOR ONE THEY ASKED ME IF I KNEW WHAT TYPE OF TV WAS IT BECAUSE THEY ONLY HAVE A FEW REMOTES AND I WOULD HAVE TO PROGRAM IT,. WORST HOTEL EVER AND I WOULD NEVER STAY THERE AGAIN, IT WAS THE LONGEST NIGHT OF MY LIFE.

THE MARRIOT BEACUSE IT WAS CLEAN AND AT THE AIRPORT THE ONLY TING IT NEEDED WAS A SHOPPING AREA.

“everyone was nice”

The hotel is on the south side of Philadelphia, and not particularly centrally located. It also shows age and maintenance issues. However, the staff of the hotel were extremely kind and helpful, I felt confident of security, and I felt that the staff made their best efforts for my stay to be a pleasant one. The room was clean and kept well-maintained during my stay. There is also a lovely diner across the street, the Penrose Restaurant, where the staff was also very nice. If you are looking for economy, this is not a bad choice.

“should get negative stars”

This hotel hasnt been maintained or properly cleaned in years. Employees were very nice, but if the run-down condition didnt tell you something, the hookers in the lobby should.

“Fine for the price”

We went into this knowing the hotel wasn't a 5-star and had some poor comments, but we decided to risk it because of the price and location. Anticipating a mediocre to poor room, we were pleasantly surprised. Of course it was dated, worn, stained, and elements of the room and building needed replacing, but our room was reasonably clean, laundry fresh, and except for a few coughs next door, quiet. Weather was hot, and A/C worked fine. I'd stay there again.

Area recommendations

We enjoy city center Philly . . for the history, architecture, restaurants, shops. We were visiting Bartram Garden, west of the city, so the Skyview Plaza Hotel was an easy drive.

“Nice place but room for improvement - easily done”

Nice place really and nice rooms, but room cleaning could be better.... semed to be done too fast.
