Impossible to find, but convenient locationPosted Nov 3, 2013
Road it's on was recently changed, does not exist on GPS. Can't drive to the location itself, circled around for a half hour. Their site does not reflect this at all, I had to call in and ask the front desk. How about even a little paragraph on the "directions" page for out-of-town travelers? Parking in their private lot (with no signs to find it) is expensive and very limited. Only other option is a 2 block walk to a parking garage. Breakfast offerings paltry, though free cookies in the afternoon. Not that I got any. Windows were thin, and students were raucous outside until 2am, though it was "first friday" or something. Room was immaculate and comfortable with a nice TV and good temperature controls. It was also very roomy, most hotel rooms seem very cramped these days. Bathtub drain was horribly clogged, my shower turned into an accidental bath. Bottom line, I'll say farther away next time if only for ease of finding the place.

I enjoyed our stay at the Inn. Hard to find, but once there it's very easy to get around.

Concert stayPosted Oct 24, 2013
Pros: Very friendly staff, didn't feel like a "chain" hotel.
Location: In the middle of Temple university campus. Lots of young folks and late night snack opportunities and coffee shops nearby. Public transport close.
We stayed 4 days for a concert and were very pleasantly surprised by the Conwell Inn. Staying at the campus was a great experience. The hotel staff is very friendly and every day there is free homemade delicious cookies in the lobby :) We didn't go for the breakfast, wanted to sleep in. A wonderful surprise was that we ended up with a king size bed and a yacuzzi (booked Queen bed, but they were out of them, so we got an upgrade). I would definitley book this hotel again. Thanks for making this stay such a pelasant experience!

Nice hotel in the heart of Temple UniversityPosted Oct 20, 2013
Pros: very convenient location, close to everything on campus
Location: downtown Philadelphia is only a few stops away by subway; the area between the hotel and downtown should be avoided

We loved this place!Posted Sep 30, 2013 on Hotels.com
We were not sure what to expect, but the Conwell Inn proved to be just delightful. Nice and quiet - though fully booked, we didn't cross paths with a single other guest. Great college feel, being right on campus...and the kids weren't rowdy, teenage punks - they were students! Easy 2 blocks to the subway. Room was spotless. (Only thing - it was supposed to have a queen bed - had a double and a single instead. No biggie - we fit.) Front desk staff was fabulous! They guarded our luggage while we went to the game after checking out. Matthew found us a new TV remote when ours didn't work at 2 a.m. Upon checking in, we requested a fridge; within 5 minutes, Bree carried it up herself. Also, she seemed to be the only person in town who could direct us to a liquor store. (It's at the Allegheny stop on the SEPTA Broad St. line, BTW. Don't wander too far south from the Cecil B. Moore stop - the neighborhood gets less charming.) Overall, we were amazed at what a quaint little find the Conwell Inn was. No complaints, and we'll definitely go back!

This was one of the best hotels I've been to. I love how it was tucked away at the Temple University. it was clean the staff was so friendly and it was in a great location for a concert we were going to. I would definitely recommend it to others and I would definitely stay there again. thanks again to the Conwell Inn staff!
