Location’s goodPosted Nov 20, 2013
Pros: The location of the hotel and the little cafe downstairs
Cons: If the surroundings could be quieter...
Location: You can take a walk on campus. quite pretty
It's located in a university which makes it safe. However it's not quite enough as students was talking or even yelling during late night. I stayed for two nights and was waken up really early in the morning by the noise of some kind of vehicle passing by the hotel. Yet staff there were nice & friendly.

Impossible to find, but convenient locationPosted Nov 3, 2013
Road it's on was recently changed, does not exist on GPS. Can't drive to the location itself, circled around for a half hour. Their site does not reflect this at all, I had to call in and ask the front desk. How about even a little paragraph on the "directions" page for out-of-town travelers? Parking in their private lot (with no signs to find it) is expensive and very limited. Only other option is a 2 block walk to a parking garage. Breakfast offerings paltry, though free cookies in the afternoon. Not that I got any. Windows were thin, and students were raucous outside until 2am, though it was "first friday" or something. Room was immaculate and comfortable with a nice TV and good temperature controls. It was also very roomy, most hotel rooms seem very cramped these days. Bathtub drain was horribly clogged, my shower turned into an accidental bath. Bottom line, I'll say farther away next time if only for ease of finding the place.

Concert stayPosted Oct 24, 2013
Pros: Very friendly staff, didn't feel like a "chain" hotel.
Location: In the middle of Temple university campus. Lots of young folks and late night snack opportunities and coffee shops nearby. Public transport close.
We stayed 4 days for a concert and were very pleasantly surprised by the Conwell Inn. Staying at the campus was a great experience. The hotel staff is very friendly and every day there is free homemade delicious cookies in the lobby :) We didn't go for the breakfast, wanted to sleep in. A wonderful surprise was that we ended up with a king size bed and a yacuzzi (booked Queen bed, but they were out of them, so we got an upgrade). I would definitley book this hotel again. Thanks for making this stay such a pelasant experience!

Nice hotel in the heart of Temple UniversityPosted Oct 20, 2013
Pros: very convenient location, close to everything on campus
Location: downtown Philadelphia is only a few stops away by subway; the area between the hotel and downtown should be avoided

On Temple U campusPosted Aug 27, 2013
Pros: Friendly staff, clean rooms, and walking distance to restaurants and facilities, including the train to central Philly
Cons: Nothing. This is an historic building
Location: Plenty of eateries nearby, and directly on campus
Great location directly on the Temple University campus on Polett Walk. I was there on a Sunday and the marching band had a rally just around the corner. They were excellent.

Great Location for Temple Students ParentsPosted Jul 30, 2013
Location: Not far from AC, shopping or eateries.
I stayed there while my daughter attended Freshman Orientation for Temple. Location was great, parking a little difficult, make sure you reserve parking for your stay. Katelynn, the front desk attendant was great. Always friendly and very knowledgable of the city.
