Overall great stay

Posted Sep 1, 2014
Cons: We had issues with not having hot water in our shower twice. Took about 5-7 minutes to warm up.
With easy access to Center City, staying in University City, which often has more affordable room rates, this weekend get away was great. The hotel is very nice and close to public transportation.

Wonderful hotel right on campus

Posted Aug 19, 2014
Pros: I loved everything about it. We were even able to catch the subway into downtown a few blocks from the hotels, thanks to front desk's suggestion
Cons: Nothing. Great all around
Location: Perfect for visiting Penn, but also a straight subway ride to historic Philly.
Lots to love about this hotel. Excellent location on campus next to the bookstore. Rooms were wonderful, feeling brand new and old world club-like at the same time. The staff was incredibly helpful, from valet, to front desk, to bellhop. They take the old club feel very serious, with The Living Room right off the lobby, it feels like an estate library, with large chairs, books on shelves and a bar in the corner, very nice.

UoP Hotel

Posted Jul 28, 2014
Pros: Location, Location, Location
Cons: Price is a tad high
The hotel is located right on the UoP campus with the bookstore on the corner. There's a good restaurant in the hotel (Italian) and a seafood house within walking distance. The hotel is a tad pricey, but the staff was quite helpful. I highly recommend it (and it's a Hilton property)

Hotel is right on the campus of UPenn.

Posted Jul 28, 2014
This hotel was a great location. Right on campus which we wanted since we were doing college visits and it was also easy to get across the river into downtown. Subway is right out the door of the hotel and everything is within walking distance on campus. Great breakfast each morning which allowed us to sightsee etc. until 2 or 3 in the afternoon until we had to stop for lunch. Would stay here again.

Only one MAJOR error

Posted Jul 20, 2014
Pros: Care of the Room, Buffet staff, concierge staff
Cons: Have the desk staff be more honest about early check in and check more thoroughly for room availibility
Location: Eat, shop and tour
Our room was not ready, so we waited is a nice area of the hotel with wonderful music and plenty of water. They said it was to be ready by12:00 noon, that was OK because we arrived early and didn't have early booking. But our wait turned out to be 1 1/2 hours breakfast, 5 hours of dead-wait time in spite of us going to the desk several times, they overlooked us. They kept telling us the room was not ready. At approximately 3:00PM a nice manager looking guy ask if we were enjoying our stay, we told him our situation and we were In a room in 5 minutes. The reason: "They thought we were needed a handicap room" Huh?? after that, all was well we were treated with great care and love.

A great place to stay while exploring Philadelphia

Posted Jul 16, 2014
Pros: So far they got the best bed I slept in any hotel so far. Clean rooms, great amenities and a smiling loving staff.
Cons: Nothing. It was a superb experience.
Location: Visit Upenn, the Washington House, see the Liberty Bell and all the places next to it, eat a philly steak and so other fun thing.s
I really took this hotel because I wanted to stay close to UPenn. However, after arriving, it exceed my expectations. Every single staff person I contacted was prompt to help and always receive me with a smile. Do help us in a timely manner (when asking for: more towels, directions and even recommendations for places to eat nearby). Rooms were the cleanliest during all my vacations (I stayed at three different hotel). Beds were outstanding and overall hotel facilities were good enough. It was close to trolley and train stations. Definitively, staying at this hotel boost my experiences in Philadelphia.

Pros: Everything
Cons: Shower leaked inroom 310
Location: Perfect amid theU penn campus with great bars and restaurants within walking distance.
In Philly for one night but the hotel was very pleasant experience for me and my girl. Beautiful setting from the lobby to the stately rooms. Very friendly and helpful staff as well. Location is perfect amid the U Penn law school with several good restaurants and bars five minute walk away. Do stay here.
