“Latham Hotel”
I also got an extra $50 hotel fee on top of cost
“Stylish hotel. Great value.”
A very nice place to stay.
“great”
hotel was perfect! close to everything! it was clean, friendly service. no complains
“Great Location and Service”
Had a pleasant stay. Nice to see a good gym in a boutique hotel. Service was excellent. Room was small, but modern and very clean. Only drawbacks were size of room and ability to hear people in surrounding rooms which is okay if the guests on same schedule as you are.
“Overall great place to stay!”
We thought the service was great- friendly, helpful, and professional. The rooms were very nice and newly renovated. The gym was nice too. Overall, the hotel is simple and has everything you need for a comfortable stay at a great price!
“Philly's Boutique”
I enjoyed my stay at the Lantham Hotel. My room was comfy and plush. I was however disappointed that the cleaning staff would congregate at 4am in the morning to complian to each other in the hallway and the fact there is not restaurant or bar on site as advertised.
“Great neighborhood, hotel needs to make some changes”
This hotel is beautiful post-renovations. You can't beat the location and if you can get a good rate I would recommend staying here. HOWEVER, my colleague and I did experience a few things that were not acceptable. First of all, at check in we were told an incidental hold was going to be placed on our credit cards, and we were told fifty dollars, which was fine. What the hotel staff member who checked us in failed to mention was that rate was per day. I travel extensively for work and that is a very high daily incidental hold (depending on the length of your stay). What was particularly bothersome was the lack of incidentals to place a hold for. No pay per view movies, no mini bars, no restaurant or bar. If and when these features are available I'll consider that to be less of an annoyance. The rooms were clean but the housekeeping was inconsistent. One day I returned to my room and I knew it hadn't been vacuumed as the rubber band that had broke and fallen to my floor was still there. One morning I was woke up at 7:15 a.m. by a very loud pounding sound. I went in the hallway to investigate and a construction worker was on a ladder in the room next to mine pounding a screwdriver into the wall with a hammer. I understand construction but at 7:15 a.m. in a room that shares a wall with an occupied guestroom? The front desk spoke to him and he quit hammering and started sawing instead. When the renovation is done and the staff is trained this will be a great hotel.
“You Win Some, You Lose Some”
First and foremost, for the location, this was ideally situated. It was in a terrific spot in Philly, with easy access to all of the desirable locations. So, for that, it's worth every penny. However, there were inconsistencies throughout our stay. Sometimes the hotel staff was extremely helpful (in particular the gentleman helping with bags and the valet) and other times, not so much. When we asked what time stores closed on Sundays in Philly, our response "don't know." :( The room itself (we had an ADA-accesible room) was strange. Absolutely no way to hang anything - no hangers on the low dressing bar - and the bathroom only had one light - around the sink's mirror. While less frustrating, there was no in-house coffee maker nor room service offered and parking was $38 overnight, which seemed high to me. So, overall - it was just fine. Would we stay there again or recommend it to others? Not likely.
“Attack Of The Hairy Shower!”
After being initially pleased with the sleek, renovated room and stylish bathroom vanity, I was repulsed by the residue of hair and direct that was left in the shower/bathtub. Seeing someone else's residue where you go to get clean really makes you question the attention to detail and care with which everything else is handled. Although I loved the location, price, and initial presentation, I wouldn't feel comfortable recommending to anyone I know and care about.
“New Renovation Great Location Best Value”
The new rooms are very comfortable, clean and the bedding was excellent. A restaurant will be opening soon we were told. That should complete this hotel as one of the nicest boutique hotels in Philly
