For the most part

Posted Jan 20, 2015
Pros: Everything else!
Cons: housekeeping staff attention to detail
Location: Originally from Philadelphia, love this city, so much to do and now that "The Avenue of The Arts" has come to be, everything is a stroll away!
Check in, valet and bellman perfect. Would steal your doorman Mike in a minute! Arrived in room, Queen sized not King bed? No special mint or flower despite "Birthday" trip for girlfriend. Crop of blonde hair left on shower wall...ewwww! Drain stopper left in locked position requiring me to have to unscrew to release it. No new soap left on 2nd day of stay? Minor issues but having been in the hotel business, noticeable...

Overnight in Philly

Posted Jan 19, 2015
The hotel and staff are 2nd to none. I've stayed at a number of hotels in Philadelphia and this is by far the best. The customer service, facilities, room.... everything is first class. Can't wait to go back.

Great Center City experience.

Pros: The atmosphere.
Cons: The sheets could have been softer.
The staff could not have been more welcoming or attentive. The lounge was the perfect place to enjoy a cocktail and get a bite to eat. The view from the room was awesome.

安全で安心なホテルですが、細かいところが少し気になります。

Posted Dec 13, 2014

It's strange to be treated so nicely by everyone everywhere you go but also so rare and therefore, special.

what they lack

Posted Dec 6, 2014
Pros: The bellman(Jimmy) who handled our bags at arrival and upon leaving was the bright spot of our trip. He was the only staff member who was R/C caliber
Cons: Better recognition of guests, better staffing of front door, more hotel info, stock the mini bar
entrance and lobby are beautiful. Valet parking and bell service was mostly inept or absent. Check in was lackluster. I have been staying at R/C properties for more than 30 years and this was the most inattentive and understaffed property I have ever been to. My suite was very ragged. Carpets were stained and worn, furniture needed replacing, and hotel info was lacking and absent from the room(there was no menu from the hotel's restaurant, no description of hotel amenities). The refridgerator was empty as well as the shelves that usually have mini bar snacks. The front desk told me the R/C no longer stocks mini bars but I could call room service and order sodas/beers etc. but no snacks were available. I assumed the hotel gift shop would carry food items. No gift shop. I used room service 4 times during my stay. It was friendly and quick. Most of the time there was a problem(missing items, food prepared differently from a previous order, food I didn't order). Mistakes were handled well by room service.

very nice hotel but very expensive

Posted Nov 24, 2014
Pros: beds, bathrooms, staff, food excellent
Cons: lack of comfortable upholstered chairs and sofas and tables made it a sleeping room, not relaxation situation
Location: heart of Philly, everything in short distance, some very close
very accommodating, but lacked sofa and comfortable chairs, table// staff do everything for you , bellhops, doors , luggage, etc but have a handful of 5 and 10 dollar bills.. food is excellent and surrounding resturants great and expensive... suggest 2 nights without food is 1500 - 1700 dollars....

Great location. Room was just ok for the money.

The hotel lobby is beautiful and lively The staff greeted us and we were given free champagne upon arrival. Our room however was just OK. I have stayed in other hotels which were nicer and not nearly the cost of the Ritz Carlton. I expected more with the high cost and just did not experience it. Average to small room. The bathroom was redone which was nice and clean.
