Nice hotel, really close to Liberty bell

Posted Sep 2, 2014
Cons: They shouldn't charge you for the parking. It should be included with the room.
The hotel is really good. For me was quiet expensive because I didn't want to spend so much money but the service you get is really good. The room was big, clean and comfortable.

Excellent location. Close to all historic places.

Posted Sep 1, 2014
Pros: Location & pillows.
Location: US Mint, Betsy Ross's house, Independence Hall, Liberty Bell and so many more!!
Loved the experience. The proximity of the hotel to all of the historic landmarks. The parking was $35; however, it was great to have a place to park and the fact we could still sightsee the next day until 5:00 pm with no extra charge. The best part of the night were the pillows!!!! I never slept so good!!

Nice and clean hotel.

Posted Aug 27, 2014
The hotel staff were friendly and helpful. The hotel was undergoing renovations, but generally the common areas and our room were nicely decorated. Our bathroom door didn't shut properly, so we reported it to management. We also didn't like the $30/day parking fee, although that seems standard. Other than that our experience was generally good. The hotel was close to 2nd Street pubs, South St. Shops and the major tourist attractions such as Independence Hall, Penn's Landing, etc.

Old city Philly

The bathtub did no drain well and was still old. The breakfast was expensive. The rooftop pool was freezing. I did not feel it was worth the price.

Dear Expedia.com Guest, Thank you for your feedback. I'm sorry about your shower drain not working properly. I'm sure maintenance would have been able to address it but I'm not sure if you called them. While our pool is not heated it typically stays at a comfortable temperature being that it gets direct sun exposure for most of the day. I'm sorry you found it to be too cold. Thank you again and we hope to see you back sometime in the future. Regards,

Great hotel all-round

Posted Aug 23, 2014
Pros: Clean and modern. Rooftop pool and a small fitness center.
Cons: Had to wait a long time to talk to someone at the front desk. I think at busy times of the day they could do with having extra staff on.
Location: Safe location, close to Elfreth's Alley, monuments, Chinatown and other restaurants. Walking distance to Eastern State Penitentiary.
Great location, very close to lots of popular sights including the world's oldest continuously inhabited street. Nice area, felt very safe walking back there even later at night. Easy walk a few blocks to Chinatown where there are lots of good places to eat. The room was very nice - all very clean, white and crisp looking. Friendly staff, though sometimes the wait at the desk was a bit long.

Walking Distance to Historic sites

Posted Aug 21, 2014 on Hotels.com
The parking garage is expensive and inconvenient as the elevator only takes you to the ground floor outside and you have to hoof it with all your stuff to the enterance. We couldn't unload our luggage before parking because work was being done to the entry drive during our stay. Don't expect a view of the historic neighborhood, not even from the roof top pool.

Dear Hotels.com Guest, Thank you for your feedback. I'm sorry that the parking arrangements did not meet your expectations. Most guests find it very convenient but I understand what you mean. The construction outside is almost complete. We all can't wait for it to be done. Thank you again and we look forward to your next visit. Regards,
