Refurbed hotel in good location

Nice room in refurbished hotel 2 minutes walk from old city. Parking right next door ($36 per night; normal for Philly). Noisy in room ACU.

OK Experience. Shower drain was draining slow. Had to switch off shower periodically till collected water drained. Otherwise location very good near some historical landmarks.

Philly Memorial Day / Thanksgiving Day

Pros: Hotel is very well situated. Nice updated hotel. Friendly staff. Enjoyed the lobby bar.
Cons: We were disappointed there was no mini fridge in room. Pillows were not very comfortable.
Location: Walking distance to many restaurants and bars and attractions. Liberty Bell, Independence Hall, Betsy Ross House are around the corner.
Travelled to Philadelphia with my husband and 2 teenage daughters over the long weekend. Lots of things to see and do. Many great restaurants and bar in the historic district. Enjoyed the street market in the historic district on Sunday.

Not worth the $189 pricetag...

Granted this hotel has been very recently renovated and the furnishings are nice, however, there are a few holes. The drapes in my room did not close. They were affixed to the valance board in an open fashion and since my room faced the front of the hotel, my room was bright all night. Secondly, I called room service only to find out that the menu that was a part of the 3-ring binder full of information in my room was old. I was also told by room service that I would have to come down to the bar to pick up any orders, no service to the rooms. Parking is somewhat inconvient and expensive but I suppose that is what you have to deal with in a downtown hotel. I probably wouldn't stay here again.

You are correct that the decorative drapes to not close however behind those are the black out drapes. These were between the decorative drapes and the sheers. I'm sorry that wasn't explained to you. I'm not sure what the issue was in regards to your room service experience but I will definitely look into it. Again, my apologies. Great location but very noisy

Pros: Al the staff were excellent especially Tracey behind the bar
Cons: Got to double glaze those windows !
Location: Excellent location right in the middle of the historic district, plenty of restaurants and bars.
The hotel generally is excellent, the only downside is that my room overlooked the street and Fire Station. If there was double glazing then it wasn't very good as I had to resort to earplugs especially when 911 calls go off during the night, the fire dept sirens are deafening ,

Beautiful Hotel in Great Area

I stayed at this hotel for a conference that was being held there. It was very clean and modern. They have reasonably priced snacks and microwave dinners for sale or you can eat in their dining room. It is only a block from a Starbucks and only a block over (in the opposite direction from Starbucks) from Market street where you can find lots of both upscale and casual eateries. The rooms were very comfortable and clean. If you are coming in from the airport, they have the Lady Liberty shuttle that takes people from the airport to the various hotels in the area for a very reasonable price. You call the shuttle from a courtesy phone in Terminal D by baggage claim. I gave the hotel staff a little bit lower of a rating simply due to the fact that they were understaffed at check out and the girl behind the counter was new and had a hard time.

They let us checkin at 7:30 am which was a great help since we took a red-eye in.

Needed hotel for sons wedding in area

I was very disappointed with my experience as I had called for early check in that they did give but when I wanted to check in the other room reservation which I paid for which was for my father and he was 75 years old and was not there at the time of check in. It would not be until after the wedding which would be midnight. I was told when I called before I came and was told I could since my husbands name was also on the reservation. when i got to the hotel a female named Porsche would not allow me to check in for that room. she said she would reserve the room for the same floor and note late check in. When we got there at midnight we were on the 2nd floor and the other room given was on the 6th floor and stated they were now full so could not give the same floor. I will never go to that hotel again. Also charged 36.00 to park.

Nice hotel, really close to Liberty bell

Cons: They shouldn't charge you for the parking. It should be included with the room.
The hotel is really good. For me was quiet expensive because I didn't want to spend so much money but the service you get is really good. The room was big, clean and comfortable.
