Beautiful Hotel in Great Area

I stayed at this hotel for a conference that was being held there. It was very clean and modern. They have reasonably priced snacks and microwave dinners for sale or you can eat in their dining room. It is only a block from a Starbucks and only a block over (in the opposite direction from Starbucks) from Market street where you can find lots of both upscale and casual eateries. The rooms were very comfortable and clean. If you are coming in from the airport, they have the Lady Liberty shuttle that takes people from the airport to the various hotels in the area for a very reasonable price. You call the shuttle from a courtesy phone in Terminal D by baggage claim. I gave the hotel staff a little bit lower of a rating simply due to the fact that they were understaffed at check out and the girl behind the counter was new and had a hard time.

Needed hotel for sons wedding in area

Pros: nothing
I was very disappointed with my experience as I had called for early check in that they did give but when I wanted to check in the other room reservation which I paid for which was for my father and he was 75 years old and was not there at the time of check in. It would not be until after the wedding which would be midnight. I was told when I called before I came and was told I could since my husbands name was also on the reservation. when i got to the hotel a female named Porsche would not allow me to check in for that room. she said she would reserve the room for the same floor and note late check in. When we got there at midnight we were on the 2nd floor and the other room given was on the 6th floor and stated they were now full so could not give the same floor. I will never go to that hotel again. Also charged 36.00 to park.

For safety reasons we only allow the guests with their name on the reservation to check into to a room. I'm not sure why his room was not on the same floor as yours. Nice hotel, really close to Liberty bell

Cons: They shouldn't charge you for the parking. It should be included with the room.
The hotel is really good. For me was quiet expensive because I didn't want to spend so much money but the service you get is really good. The room was big, clean and comfortable.

Pros: Location & pillows.
Location: US Mint, Betsy Ross's house, Independence Hall, Liberty Bell and so many more!!
Loved the experience. The proximity of the hotel to all of the historic landmarks. The parking was $35; however, it was great to have a place to park and the fact we could still sightsee the next day until 5:00 pm with no extra charge. The best part of the night were the pillows!!!! I never slept so good!!

The hotel staff were friendly and helpful. The hotel was undergoing renovations, but generally the common areas and our room were nicely decorated. Our bathroom door didn't shut properly, so we reported it to management. We also didn't like the $30/day parking fee, although that seems standard. Other than that our experience was generally good. The hotel was close to 2nd Street pubs, South St. Shops and the major tourist attractions such as Independence Hall, Penn's Landing, etc.

Old city Philly

The bathtub did no drain well and was still old. The breakfast was expensive. The rooftop pool was freezing. I did not feel it was worth the price.

I'm sure maintenance would have been able to address it but I'm not sure if you called them. While our pool is not heated it typically stays at a comfortable temperature being that it gets direct sun exposure for most of the day. I'm sorry you found it to be too cold. Extremely friendly staff and front desk! I unexpectedly had my water shut off in my building that mornjng and they were able to accommodate an early check in which allowed me to not be late for my event that night!

Great hotel all-round

Pros: Clean and modern. Rooftop pool and a small fitness center.
Cons: Had to wait a long time to talk to someone at the front desk. I think at busy times of the day they could do with having extra staff on.
Location: Safe location, close to Elfreth's Alley, monuments, Chinatown and other restaurants. Walking distance to Eastern State Penitentiary.
Great location, very close to lots of popular sights including the world's oldest continuously inhabited street. Nice area, felt very safe walking back there even later at night. Easy walk a few blocks to Chinatown where there are lots of good places to eat. The room was very nice - all very clean, white and crisp looking. Friendly staff, though sometimes the wait at the desk was a bit long.

Location: cafes, restaurants, historic sights.
we arrived very early in the morning after a long transatlantic flight, and the desk allowed us to do an early check in. All staff were friendly and helpful.
