Good hotel for the price, good locationPosted Feb 24, 2014
Cons: They are finishing up a remodel, but the place looks great!
Went down for a concert, and got a good deal on Expedia. Room was very comfortable, the bar is now open...last time I stayed a few weeks ago it was still being renovated. Place looks great, would stay again!

Dear Jade, Thank you for your recent post. I'm glad you enjoyed your stay and were able to see the finished renovation. It's amazing. We like to call it a "Transformation" rather than a renovation because it's not at all like it used to be. Thank you again and we look forward to your next visit. Regards,

Great hotel close to center cityPosted Feb 17, 2014
Pros: The room was amazing. Bed was super comfortable, bathroom was nice. The staff was very helpful and polite.
I picked this hotel for a romantic getaway near the nightlife in center city. My girlfriend and I took the subway into the city and walked to the hotel, it was very easy to find. We were only a couple of blocks from Cuba Libra (our favorite salsa dancing scene), so it was perfect for our saturday night escape!

Great LocationPosted Feb 14, 2014
Pros: Friendly and helpful staff, comfortable beds, clean room, large bathroom.
Location: Quiet street, but nestled in the Historic District and near many great restaurants. Park your car when you arrive and spend your stay walking around.
We stayed here to escape from our home during a power outage. There's a large auto convention in town now and many suburbanites headed into the city for refuge, so we were happy to get a room. I'm glad we landed here. The staff (especially Hakeem and the bell men) were delightful and accommodating. This hotel is located within walking distance to many wonderful historic sites and within the Olde City restaurant area. It's an ideal location. We enjoyed our stay and would highly recommend this hotel to any one interested in superior accommodations at a reasonable rate in a great location. We travel frequently (nationally and internationally) and stay in hotels all the time. This hotel is top notch.

Helpful Staff, Nice LocationPosted Feb 9, 2014
Pros: Location, friendly and helpful staff
Location: This hotel is a short walk to many worth-while historic sites and in the heart of a great restaurant area.
We found ourselves staying here due to a long-term power outage at home (in Philly burbs.) All staff members, especially Hakim, worked with us to add another night to our stay, even though the hotel was filling up for a convention. They were so courteous and helpful. The room itself was clean and comfortable. The hotel is located well for sight seeing and fine/fun dining. We enjoyed our unexpected staycation and would highly recommend this hotel to others.

under constructionPosted Feb 2, 2014
Pros: Rooms are fine and will soon be better.
Cons: Facilities. The fixed up dining room and bar had better be good.
Location: Most of the old city is beautiful, not yet tarted up for tourism. The Old Meeting House is next-door.
At the moment they are rebuilding dining room and bar. There is a temporary set-up in a conference room with far too little staff to keep up. This looks like hotel management on the cheap.

Pros: The location of the hotel was great since it is located right in Old City only 2 blocks off of Market Street and the room was clean.
Cons: Better amenities such as a dining area and better quality food in the hotel.
Location: The hotel is located in the heart of Old City Philadelphia close to a number of historic attractions such as Indepence Hall and the Liberty Bell.
The location of the hotel was great since it is located right in Old City only 2 blocks off of Market Street and the room was clean but for a 4 star hotel, I much prefer the Loews Hotel I previously stayed at. When I checked in, the Wyndham was in the middle of a major renovation in the lobby area and I could hear skill saws operating early in the morning from my 5th floor room with a view overlooking a grave yard. They have a pub and restaurant on the main floor but it appears to just be a temporary set up until all the renos are complete. It was just a meeting/convention room converted in to a restaurant with no atmosphere and a temporary bar set up. The food was not great and the noise from the renovating was irritating. I tried going for a lunch about 1:30 PM and it was closed. I had some issues trying to make a couple outgoing calls to my bank in Canada and the desk staff was not very accomodating in just dialing out the calls for me. I had to convince them several times that the calls just couldn;t be mage from my room like an regular outgoing call. I wouldn't consider this a 4 star hotel at the moment.

Under construction.Posted Jan 26, 2014
No notification before arriving that facilities are not available because of construction. Force wait in the lobby for 2 hours before checking in, because the make shift bar was closed.
