a nice place to stopPosted Mar 24, 2013
Location: Not to far away from central Cowes to walk to have a look around
We was only here for the 1 night but the room was just what we needed, somewhere clean/tidy had what we wanted ( tv, couch & shower/toilet ). Had a pool not the biggest but somewhere to chill after a day of sightseeing plus not to faraway from penguin parade.

SatisfactoryPosted Jan 3, 2013
Location: Easy walk to shops and restaurants
The Comfort Resort is your usual motel type accommodation. No problems but nothing exceptional. The laundry only took one type of coin this was not explained by reception and they do not keep any change. Maybe in season they are more organised but I found the attitude of reception lacking.

Spacious room, small bathroom, but overall goodPosted Oct 3, 2012
We got this hotel at a reasonable price, and booked a room with a queen bed and 2 singles for 2 adults and a 10 and 7 year old. The room was spacious and comfortable, however the bathroom, and particularly the shower recess, was small. Overall it was fine, and I would stay there again due to the spaciousness of the room.

A real mixed bagPosted Jul 30, 2012
Pros: Location great and staff superb
Cons: Lighting poor, fiddly power saver for TV but more the questionable cleaning
Location: Just off the beach and a few minutes walk into Cowes, very handy for getting around the Island
Phillip Island is a great location and the staff were friendly and helpful in directing to the sites and how to get about. The room made a great first impression and looks neat and up to date. Unfortunately there were a couple of niggles, the lighting is very poor, the ceiling fittings don't shed much light at all and you need to put the bedside lamps on after dark, winter visit so this was important. TV has a 'power saver' plug that will turn it off after 57 minutes if you don't touch the remote - irritating during hour long or more programmes - the process to get it on is fiddly. Whilst only there for two nights the floor didnt seem to be vacuumed after the first night, a glass we had used was left dirty too but other areas had clearly been done so cleaning was questionable. The site is also a static caravan park with cobbled together add ons to the base units, this all looks messy which is a shame as it spoils the great look of the apartments and other parts of the site and is not a great view out the window! Incredibly handy to the beach and Cowes town centre is a five minute walk. The internet service probably is indicative of the whole place, it was an extra cost and great while it worked but a little patchy Overall it's a bit of a mixed bag - I expected more for the price,

Centrally located but quiet. Parking space outside the room. Excellent value.
