hotel acceuillant bon emplacementPosted Feb 6, 2015

Avoid this hotel like the plaque!!Posted Feb 2, 2015
Pros: The only thing good about this hotel was the location. I couldn't be beat.
Location: It was about a 5 minute walk to the palace and 10 minutes to the National Museum. Easy tuk tuk ride everywhere else.
Upon arrival my room smelled like a sewer and when I complained they moved me to the room next door. After about 3 hours, the room freshener wore off and it too smelled like a toilet. Luckily after 24 hours, the smell was gone. The hot water in my shower lasted about 2 to 3 minutes all 3 days of my stay. I signed up for a 45 minute body scrub next door at their sister hotel (glass door connecting the two). It lasted 30 minutes and they charged me the whole amount. Had already signed up for a 60 minute massage the next day. I verified at the start of the massage that it would last 60 minutes. It lasted 45 and I was charged the whole amount. (The masseuse was very good though). After having a mediocre dinner at the King Grande I thought I would try The Queen Grande (the sister hotel, again) and it was the worst meal I hate in my 10 days in Cambodia. I ordered Pad Thai and as I was trying to eat it (I needed something in my belly!) the waiter came up to me and said he had a dessert for me when I was done. Silly me!! I thought it was complementary how he worded it. He didn't ask if I wanted dessert but he said these exact words: "I have dessert for you when you are done". You get the picture.....I was charged for it. And it was horrible!! I had one bite. The only good thing about the hotel was the location. The rooms were okay, the front desk was fine. Stay clear of this hotel. It is obvious they take advantage of tourists!!

Small central hotelPosted Jan 9, 2015
The rooms are small but clean, bathroom being internal could be a little damp. Swimmingpools very small. But an ok hotel. Staff as everywhere in Cambodia were professional and friendly.
