didn't stayPosted Mar 4, 2015
I was just out there with a friend. We stayed in Sedona and then planned to go on to the Grand Canyon, but because of winter storms Sparta and Thor, thought we couldn't. Bright Angel/Thunderbird refunded my friend's money in full. However, when I canceled Three Palms because we had, in fact, managed to get to the Grand Canyon, I got no such courtesy from Three Palms. Both reservations had been made through Expedia and, therefore, technically not refundable. However, Bright Angel did cancel the reservation and refund the money while Three Palms did not. Therefore, I would not recommend Three Palms to a friend.

Room was next to laundry and very noisy External corridors make this more of a motel than hotel

Motel 6 converted to look nicePosted Mar 3, 2015
The beds were nice and comfortable. But the shower would be either scolding hot or ice cold. And no coffee after 10am at the lobby.

Relaxation, shopping & walkingPosted Mar 2, 2015
Pros: Colourful room decor, outdoor pool and hottub & fitness room. Responsive staff, including George who graciouslly assisted us with an upgrade.
Location: The location suited our plans (urban walks, shopping, site seeing) and was on a quiet street that overlooked a park.
A great location for park access and urban walks, including Scottsdale Oldtown and Camel Back Mountain and further a field in the McDowell Reserve and shopping at the Fashion Center, outlet mall and Tempe Marketplace and across the street proximity of Fry's full service grocery store.

3 Palms stayPosted Mar 2, 2015
Pros: Nicely done.
Cons: They have done everything possible, except for complimentary breakfast, that would have been nice.
Location: Good location with some shopping nearby as well as several restaurants.
This is an older motel that has been renovated. They did an excellent job bringing it up to date with nice décor. The orange door jambs are a bit much for me, but otherwise it was very well done. I did not use the pool, but it looked beautiful, the lobby also, was very contemporary and well done. The location was in close proximity to some shopping and several restaurants. That said it is still an older motel with small rooms and outside entrances.

Cons: At least put a fence around the perimeter.
I felt unsafe and the rooms were shabby. My husband is tall and lanky, had trouble managing the cramped bathroom, shower.

Disorganized and UncleanPosted Feb 27, 2015
Pros: The outside area seemed nice.
Cons: A lot of improvement can be made. If you know that 35 people are checking in the hotel in one day why wouldn't you have more staff??
We arrived with 14 guests at the hotel. We were with a business group of 35. There was only one person working the desk when we arrived and they were so slow getting everyone checked in. They were distracted by other things at the desk being the only person, and we didn't know whether to be mad or feel sorry for them. The rooms were average and not overly clean. The shower head in my room was broken and there was no iron or ironing board. One of my friends complained that her sheets seems uncleaned and called to have them changed. Overall, not great.

Well rounded hotel with Motel feel.Posted Feb 26, 2015
Pros: Location, in room jet tub
Cons: doors don't shut (you really have to pull hard), overall hotel look & image needs a sprucing.
Location: Disc Golf, shopping, walking & running etc.
The pictures are a bit deceiving here as the hotel has somewhat of a ghetto Motel feel. It's the location of this property that's a winner, especially if you're into walking, running & playing Disc Golf! The pool / hot tub area is ok - it looks better at night but feels a little cagey during the day.

nice locationPosted Feb 25, 2015
Pros: Great pool area and although the rooms were not large they were very clean and comfy.
Cons: A breakfast of some sort would be nice.
Location: We like that it was neatly tucked into the community and not surrouned by other hotels. We really enjoyed having the nic park across the street.
We really enjoyed our stay at 3 Palms. it had everything we needed. It has a very nice pool and hot tub area. We also liked the location as it was close to the grocery store ad a beautiful big park across the street. the staff we very friendly and always available.

Looks nice, but beds need improvementPosted Feb 23, 2015
Pros: Easy access
Cons: The beds and water pressure in shower.
Location: A three miles from Old Town, grocery store across the highway.
Rooms are ok, but the beds are fold out frames with plywood base. Not really comfortable. Pool looks nice and hotel is next to nice walking area.
