Ok hotel but maybe not such a good part of town

Posted Jan 31, 2015
Pros: Our room and bed were comfortable.
Cons: you'd have to redo the neighborhood, I think. I felt safe in the motel but not walking away from it.
Location: very close to downtown Phoenix.
this is a modest but decent place. It Would be easy to give it better marks if it were in a better location. We walked to the only food place we could see, McDonalds, not our usual choice but there it was. A bit scary. The motel is on a moderately busy street so there was some traffic noise. I would stay there again but my wife would probably choose not to.

Reasonably priced hotel in downtown Phoenix

Pros: See above
Cons: Nothing

We have stayed here twice when we were going to events at U.S. Airways arena. It only takes a few minutes by pedicab to get to the arena. Staff is friendly and helpful. Hotel has been entirely redone and upgraded. You can't change the physical size of the room, so the toilet and tub area is still small. A good value hotel close to the city center!

A great budget hotel in downtown PHX

Posted Jan 15, 2015
Pros: Location
Cons: My room was above the office and adjacent to Van Buren St--early morning traffic is loud. Maybe some better sound insulation or earplugs next time.
Location: You are downtown--most events Diamondback, Phoenix Suns or concert venues are close by taxi--recommend especially if returning back late.
I reserved a room on the fly for a night out on town. Usually i like to stay closer to Central Phoenix, but most of the hotels in that area were booked solid for an event. This place was available and being not to far (by taxi) to where I wanted go--decided to book it. The hotel is an older building, but the rooms appear to have been recently updated. Very clean, in room refrigerator, free wifi, free cable. The desk and nightstand have outlets for charging phones, etc. I was pleasantly surprised by the room.

Clean, comfortable hotel

Posted Dec 24, 2014
Pros: Nice room and near downtown.
Cons: Larger lobby for continental breakfast.
Location: Near downtown.
Although ordinary looking motel on the outside, it is very well appointed inside my room with microwave, ref, large LCD TV, iron/board, blower, independent air conditioning, clean comfortable bed and complimentary airport shuttle and continental breakfast with coffee, juice, waffles, fruit, yogurt served in the small lobby. Staff are friendly and efficient. Very good value.

Ok hotel close to US Airways

Posted Dec 20, 2014
I was a little discouraged upon arrival, I even thought about looking for a different place based on the looks of the hotel but it was already paid for non refundable and was just for 1 night so I stayed. Check in was very easy and we were given a free upgrade to a king size bed without even asking. The room itself was clean, modern looking and I must say pretty comfortable. Overall was a good experience.

Better than expected

Posted Dec 19, 2014
Pros: The price, the location, the modern rooms.
Cons: The lighting in the room
Location: 15 min walk or less to downtown.
For the price of this hotel it was excellent. I was attending an trade expo from overseas and I was pleasantly surprised how close this hotel was to the convention centre and downtown - about a 15min walk. The room was great and had all the comforts that you would expect from a 4 star hotel. I always felt safe. If you only want a couple of minute walk to the hotel sure pay the extra hundred dollars a night but if you don't care this hotel is the pick.
