“worthy competitor for my time and money.”
Great time. Disappointed with VIP ocatilla concept. Its pool was unattended throughout THANKSGIVING weekend. Bellman, waitstaff, and ocatilla concierges were all very friendly and resourceful. Too many tots in all hot tubs, too often. Family hotel.
“Delightful experience.”
Everything that anyone could want in a resort hotel. I smile just thinking about the place.
“loved the hotel as well as their service”
The hotel was very nice, and if there was any problem they fixed it quick and good. So they deserve a perfect rating becasuse of their service at the very least
“So-so”
The architecture of the hotel is fascinating and the hotel is a nice property, but everything is very spread out and there need to be many more signs and better lighting at night. I was attending a conference and many people were continually getting lost trying to move around the property. The service is fine, but not great (except for in their restaurant), it feels like they don't have enough staff, and they don't tell you at check-in that there is a $28 per day resort charge for gratuities, etc. which is already tacked on to your bill. The rooms are very clean, but definitely in need of updating. Overall, it was a fine stay. I probably would not stay here again, but it is the only resort in the area (the rest of the hotels in the area are freestanding buildings which don't have spas, golf, tennis, etc,) so there aren't really any comparable options.
“Jewel in the Desert”
The Biltmore's nickname is truly an adequate description. In the hot Phoenix desert, one is surrounded by cool comfort. The pools, the soothing lobby, and the wonderful restaurants are only matched by the superb treatment by the staff at this historic hotel.
“Fancy, fancy!”
Beautiful accommodations - would love to go back!
“Great Place”
Great pla to stay, will be going back
“Biltmore: Beautiful Place, Disappointing Stay”
Although the Biltmore is a truly beautiful facility, I would not recommend this hotel to anyone. In an establishment where the cheapest rooms are several hundreds of dollars, they shamelessly nickel and dime their guests without mercy. Things that are routinely complimentary at any Quality Inn incurred substantial addendums to my Biltmore bill. (For example, while I expected to be charged for taking a bottle of water from the refrigerator in the room, the cost of was entirely out of proportion.) Worse still, the rooms themselves are quite disappointing. Although the grounds were phenomenal and we did have a very nice terrace, the room I stayed in was frankly inferior to what I've experienced at the Ramada and Holiday Inn. My advice to fellow travelers is to visit this beautiful hotel and check out their lobby--maybe even eat at their very nice restaurant--but avoid spending the night there (unless somebody else is picking up your tab).
“Just ok”
Had stayed at The Biltmore many years ago and couldn't wait to go back. The old girl still looks great but services have really slipped.
“JEM in the heart of Arizona!!!!!”
The resort is absolutely stunning! No wonder many Presidents vacationed in this gorgeous resort. The staff was friendly yet very professional. The surrounding neighborhood was like a stroll in the neighborhoods of the Rich and Famous. Luxury homes surround this beautiful resort....Absolutely breathtaking!! To top it off, It's within walking distance to great shopping and dining. It truly was a JEM in the heart of Arizona!!!
