Outdated older hotel with good potential

Posted Apr 4, 2015
Pros: Good price and location
Cons: Updated and renovated
We had a great little casita out away from everyone else and we loved that but two of the pools were being renovated and were not working. When we first got there, they gave us a room with two double beds although our reservation was for five people and two double beds and a sofa bed. They very quickly moved us and we had good accomodations although everything is so dated and in need of repair and renovation. Has good potential to be a great place but needs an update.

Run down, in dire need of updating and repair.

Posted Apr 3, 2015
Pros: The bedding was clean. It was quiet due to hardly anyone being there.
Cons: Everything. This site was run down and in dire need of updating. The website provided a beautiful picture, but it was not what we experienced at all.
Location: There was shopping, baseball, and other family friendly experiences.
We were politely greeted upon arrival but didn't receive much information other than were our room was located. Half of the lighting along the road to our room was completely broken. The outdoor light to our room never worked while we were there. The carpeting was stained and not thoroughly vacuumed. The wall paper was ripped up around the thermostat. The appliances needed updating and there was yellowed packing tape on the fridge. The light fixture in the main room was broken. The back door had an opening below which caused concern for insects to make their way in as well as scorpions. The hair dryer was so old it barely had any force to actually perform its job. None of the pools or hot tubs were in working order and we were not made aware of this at check in. The driving range was facing our parking area and due to ripped up netting golf balls were scattered in the parking area. We were not informed of complimentary services or other services unless we specifically asked about them. Because we booked through Expedia we were treated poorly and received fewer amenities. We were told this specifically regarding the breakfasts.

Old time charm

Posted Apr 3, 2015
Hotel / resort is older and has the charm of an earlier time. New owners are taking a real interest in reviving it without losing the personality. I will be excited to see the improvements the next time we vacation there.

Older facility and golf course

Posted Apr 1, 2015
Pros: Close baseball and golf. Clean, large and comfy.
Cons: Better TV and internet hook ups. Napkins and utensils in the kitchen area.
Location: Lots of spring baseball and golf nearby. Also good shopping and food.
This seemed to be an older property. The room was large and clean. The bed was comfortable. The golf course was a little expensive for the quality and there wasn't much benefit for staying at the resort. The golf course staff were professional and helpful. The resort was close to the spring training baseball games we wanted to attend. There was plenty of shopping and food close by. Also plenty of parking.

Mislead by their website on room quality.

Posted Apr 1, 2015
Pros: ummmm, well the staff was friendly and finally gave in to move our room to a slightly better one.
Cons: Major remodel is needed all around as far as I can see.
The rooms are not nearly as nice as the pictures online on their site look. First room we had, featured brick walls and smelled like a dirty wet basement. It took 4 calls and 2 trips to the front desk complaining to finally get a different room. The last straw for the first room was when they started jack hammering the main pool at 8 am. 8 AM! Next room was slightly better. Super disappointed they also decided to start construction on the pool, of course not letting the guests that plan to stay there know that the main pool will not be usable and the entire place has just the secondary pool to use. We had guests in one of the 1 bedroom suites to and their place stunk even worse....and the air conditioning would trip the breaker every 20 minutes of use. All the furniture we saw was mismatched and decades old. Definitely not a resort. The front desk had people coming in complaining every time we were up there. False advertising if I have ever seen one.

Very nice Resort. Very busy, took care of guest

Posted Mar 31, 2015
Pros: Newly redecorated room. Clean and private.
Cons: Have the main pool area open.
Location: Many resturants nearby. Also many shopping areas.
Had a pleasant stay. Only problem, the main pool was closed and the small pool had so many kids, it was not pleasurable for adults. Did use the spa near room and it was nice and hot.

Nice place to get around from in the Valley. Golf Course is an old school resort course with fun holes and a friendly staff. Like to use it as a base and play practice 9 holes before hitting Las Sendas, TPC, Gold Canyon Dinosaur, etc.
