kindness but no quality, much less cleaning

Posted Feb 27, 2015
Pros: Room was ample
Cons: They could change the menu in the breakfast buffet at least every other day. Those frozen, microwaveable omelets and sausages were really bad
Location: It is near a highway and has a nice Mexican restaurant (Los compadres), good sushi very close, and also a Burger King, anPollo Loco (with good salads)
Staff are very nice and kind but that is about it. Although I saw several people eating a lot, after a couple of days I could eat no more of the frozen, microwaveable omelets and sausages in the breakfast buffet that also included coffee, juice, apples, yogurt, bread, muffins, and waffles. The room was clear and comfortable but everything is cheap and even when the hotel offers complimentary toiletries I did not get a toothbrush and never had shampoo. When I asked why the room had not been cleaned, they told me because I had not requested it.

Convenient

Posted Feb 23, 2015
Pros: Location and very clean. We will stop on our next trip to Mexico.
Cons: Breakfast area was too crowded and the lay out could be set up differently to get people thru quickly. Food was fair.
Location: Right off the freeway so we could continue our trip quickly in the morning. Mexican food restaurant, sports bar, bank, fast food nearby.
Rooms are exactly as pictured which was a nice surprise. The location was convenient for an overnight stop with restaurant and sports bars within walking distance.

Did not get the rooms I booked on expedia

Posted Feb 17, 2015
I booked one room with a king bed and one room with two queen beds. I got two rooms with one king bed. i booked non smoking rooms and got smoking rooms. I was told if I booked through a second party like expedia I could not be guaranteed what I booked. If this motel cannot provide what expedia books they should not be on the expedia site.

Visiting from Des Moines

Posted Feb 14, 2015
Pros: Friendly staff, breakfast, clean room.
Cons: More padding on the bed
Location: Close to the Musical instrument museum. Downtown isn't far and we actually made the short trip to Apache junction to visit Goldfield ghost town.
The room was decent, staff was good, breakfast was better than cold continental. Not bad for the price we paid.

Location - good. Hotel - poor!

Posted Feb 14, 2015
Pros: The HEATED, SALT water pool was warm and clean, when available.
Cons: General facility maintenance and upgrades.
Location: Close to I-17, University of Phoenix Stadium, shopping, and some very good restaurants.
We picked this hotel because of location and availability following the Super Bowl w/e. We requested a non-smoking rooom but upon arrival the room reeked of smoke. The entry door had a gap under that anything that crawled could have come through! Hot water even at MAX took at least one entire shower before it would arrive! The beds were mush and screeched at every move. Our bath towels had large rips and also smelled of smoke. Entry doors to the various hotel floor landings did not even completely close. Our first night attempt to use the pool we were informed that it was already closed eventho it was NOT closing time! We finally found a maintenance man who was gracious enough to open the gate. The hot tub jets were non-functional as the switch had been removed!

Pros: The room was nice except for things mentioned above. Liked the ability to blackout room and like the lamps on the tables.
Cons: Change florescent lights to softer. Take out automatic light in bath. The bkfst time needs to be until 10:00 as the area is just too small.
Location: It is okay.
Nice hotel. Did not like florescent lights over sink and did not like the auto light in bath as you don't necessarily want bright light in middle of night. Better to just be able to turn it on manually if you want to. Bkfst was pretty good but area is way too small for amount of rooms in hotel. Extra chair was not comfortable.

Spent 4 nights there

Posted Jan 25, 2015
Pros: Location and price
Not a high end place by any means, but it is clean, convenient to restaurants and getting around Phoenix. Front desk helped with questions and when we needed to extend our stay an extra day there was no problem and they even gave us a better rate than we had with the original booking thru Expedia. Above average breakfast, but can get crowded. Seemed to have a fair number of long term workers staying and they tended to hang out in the parking lot, drinking beer and smoking. No problems, just saying.
