Pros: Easy to get to highway, close to downtown, convention centre and museums. very clean, excellent price for the value.
Cons: It would be much better if there are good resturants around.

Pros: Rooms were cheap, free Wi-Fi, close to downtown.
Location: Not a great location, there isn't much to do near the hotel. Rooms next to the main road have loud traffic noise all night.

A great "cheap" hotelPosted Nov 18, 2013
Very clean rooms, felt pretty comfortable. Really close to down town, but that also means its not in a great neighborhood. It was perfect for a 2 night stay in pheonix.

Clean, affordable hotelPosted Nov 11, 2013
I stayed at the budget lodge over the weekend. I was not familiar with the area and at first it looked a little sketchy, however, it wasn't. We walked all round and had a perfectly good time. The room was super clean, the air conditioner worked great and there was a fridge and microwave in the room. I would recommend this hotel to anyone.

Don't botherPosted Oct 24, 2013
Read a number of good reviews so I gave it a shot. Not sure how so many reviewers found favor with this property. It is just on the edge if being creepy.

Excellent staffPosted Oct 19, 2013
The room was basic and fine, but the staff was exceptional. When I checked in the attendant was prompt, had my paperwork, and gave me information about the area. Coffee, danish and fruit were served in the morning. The attendant scheduled a cab for my ride to the airport in the morning, however, the cab never showed. I contacted the cab company to get another cab, but wasn't able to do so in a timely manner. The manager of the hotel was kind enough to offer me a ride to the airport and got me there on time. I was very impressed since it wasn't his fault that the cab didn't show. The company had my reservation, but an incorrect address.

Pros: It was very clean.
Cons: Maybe a coffee maker in the room.
Location: I did not do anything nearby but go to McDonalds just down the street before I left.
When I planned to stay in Phoenix for that night I did not realize what area I would be staying. The area looked to be a little dicey and my first impression of the facilities was - what I had gotten myself into. I did not have any problems though, so my initial response was unfounded. That being said - It is a older hotel, the inside looks decent and the room was very clean. I was afraid the beds would be uncomfortable but they were good. There was a fridge, microwave and hair dryer but no coffee maker, not a big deal as they had coffee out the next morning with a few tid bits for breakfast. The staff was very accomodating, in fact my husband has to sleep sitting upright since his heart surgery and the staff graciously gave us a few more pillows. The air conditioner worked very well - a little loud but to be totally truthful, I have never stayed in any where these have been quiet.
