“Great Restaurent attached”

“Phoenix stay”

The motel fascilaties like the pool area, restruart and lobby are in great shape. But the maintenance and appreance around the room areas seemed a little lacking. But for and over the night stay it was comfortable and pleasant.

Area recommendations

The surrounding neighorhood does not have much to offer. The convience stores and shopping is a litlle drive away from the motel.

“Room condition is OK, but don't feel safe”

Checked into first room, A/C is not working, front desk service is excellent, very nice, change room right away without any problem. Room furnitures are classic, comfortable, but the toilet keep flushing once a while making noise. Hotel has exterier entrence, there are some people live there seems for a long time. Group of people walking by, make you feel not safe. Other than that, everything is OK. By the way, internet is real slow.

“Avoid the Clarion Scottsdale Road”

The air conditioner did not work well enough to keep the room below sweating temperature, and I gave it the benefit of the doubt it would get cooler as the sun went down and heat lessened. The coffe maker likewise did not function, and this place has the sad, worn out feel of an old motor hotel that got a cosmetic do over. Not even worth of what they were charging, and many better choices close by.

“Great Location close to lot of shopping but terrible experience”

I stayed in this past saturday to attend a concert at Compound Grill in North Scottsdale. Upon returning from the show I spied a roach in my room and the AC was not cooling the room, the room was still very hot. I immediately called the front desk. They said all there was nothing they could do about the AC unit as maintenance has already left for the evening. They said they could give me a different room which I immediately agreed because I freaking out over the roach crawling around. The front desk lady was very nice to personally come to my room to escort me and assist me with my things by this time I had already killed the roach. I told her this has never happened to me before I have stay at many hotels in the valley. I was told it was this time of year for them and it happened from time to time!! I was completely disgusted and grossed out. This won't happen from time to time if they had regular extermination/pest control plan. The room was very run down, the carpet was coming up, the wallpaper was yellowing and the shower head was yellowing as well. The bed was comfortable though.

“Big Shocking Disappointment”

Worse hotel ever . The room had an odd musty smell, had too much furniture for the size of the room and the furniture was old and trashy. Forget about getting any sleep, at least on the weekend: there was a club on the hotel premises with loud music and screaming people. The bold lock on the door was not working and the air conditioning unit was barely acceptable (in August).

“Clarion Hotel Scottsdale was the SLUM!”

Clarion Hotel Scottsdale Experience was bad. I checked in and the room had poor air conditioning throughout the stay. Then after taking a shower the water didn't shut off fully. The bathroom flooded. The carpet got wet. When you walked onto the carpet into the bathroom you were tracking in all the dirt to the bathroom. You actually saw dirty foot prints (very obvious). This room wasn't as clean as I would have liked it to be. I was told by the front desk clerk all the rooms would be the same.
