I am sold on Baymont as a brand. This is one chain where I never thought afterwords 'should have spent more somewhere else.'
We booked this north Phoenix location on the strength of past experiences at the Albuquerque location. FYI this Phoenix one had been a Comfort Inn at one time; now they have updated the signage saying Baymont.
Have to commend the front desk and housekeeping, they do very well for guests. We were allowed to hold a small party in the breakfast nook after hours -thanks CiCi and Candace!
Our room was a very nice suite with hide-a-bed couch sitting area. Somehow the outlets by the nightstand had been unplugged from the wall; eventually we figured it out.
There is some freeway noise, but we were placed on the far end of the building so it wasn't bad at all. The beds were comfortable with clean linens.
I would give the place five stars; the only thing stopping me is that the breakfast needs attention from the management. From what I see the workers do what they can, but it simply wasn't well-stocked each day -no yogurt, no fruit after a time, the same stale toast and muffins in the bin with no tongs. Also there was only one out-of-the way trash can away from the buffet line. They don't offer decaf coffee, either at breakfast or in the 24-hour lobby.
The lobby gives a great first impression and everyone is pleasant. It seems like a reasonably safe area. I would book here again.
