“Great hotel for the price!”

I'm dumbfounded as to why this hotel has been rated an average of 2 stars. It was clean, rooms were nicely done, breakfast was just the right kind for me, staff was friendly and very helpful. I would stay here again in a heartbeat!

“Close to airport and restaurants. I would stay there again. Price was right.”

Desk personnel were cordial and courteous. The cookies were good too! Liked the extra sitting room with TV, couch and chair. Bed was comfortble, really enjoyed having two extra pillows. Dining area is small, however the breakfast was good. Car rental was 9 1/2 miles from motel, glad I had my Tom Tom GPS.

“great staff”

the hotel was under repair making for some mess and smell. the staff is absolutely great! terrific bunch of college students and recent graduates that are some of the most pleasant and helpful customer service reps i have entcountered in any work enviornment. good location as far as being close enough to the campus and far enough away from the campus. good value over all. some of the staff remembered us from recent visits, they are a great group that more than make up for some of the buildings short comings.

“great Az stay”

We stayed here one night to catch a morning flight out of PHX We had a good nights sleep. Some reviews complained about noise from planes flying over but we did not hear any. Free breakfast was good. Hotel staff was polite and very helpful. Would stay here again.

“Good stay”

Had a relaxing time at the Tempe Country Inns & Suites. Hotel is clean and quiet with a good breakfast. Don't worry about the "gentlemen's" club across the street - you won't even know it's there.

“Good value”

The hotel is a good value and fairly centrally located. The staff was extremely helpful and the rooms were spacious. If you are looking for dining and shopping, drive to Scottsdale rather than over to Tempe. The latter is closer but it is a college town in all its negative aspects -- unfriendly, bad parking, loud and over-priced.

“Strange Part of Town”

Though the hotel was nice, clean and convenient, there are several "gentleman's clubs" nearby including directly across the street. We never had any trouble with the location, however is a little uncomfortable having the family there. The coffee maker in the room was missing a part so it was not usable. Parking was tight. Overall it was an acceptable place to stay.

Area recommendations

North Scotsdale has more resort style hotels with better accommodations and closer to attractions.
