Great property and great employees. The only suggestion is to get the attendant at the dining area some help. I’ve stayed twice recently and both times the guy was all alone and had multiple guests waiting. He was doing his best and was very professional, but was overwhelmed with guests.

Parking here is $15 per night. Check in before 4pm and after 12:00pm is another $25. If I paid $40 more buying the trip package I’d stay at Hilton and all of that would be free.

Not worth staying at. I don’t know why the reviews are good at this place. The hotel it self was really dirty and the rooms are uncomfortably small. Very disappointed.

We found the hotel to be a bit barebones, but the employees are wonderful and the area is amazing! It is an older building and could definitely use some love in places such as on the second floor there was a terrible smell in the hallway during the days (no smell in our room though) and the missing filter covers in the hot tob. Overall though it was a lovely hotel and I would absolutely stay here again! As well, the area is very walkable and has lots of great shops and restaurants to enjoy. There are also scooters that super fun to ride around on and an amazing public transportation system! Tons of things to do around area (both inside and outside) and of course lots of beautiful views!

The hotel is decent, nice rooms, good location. However all was overshadowed by the lack of concern the hotel staff has when a problem arises. I was over charged 460USD and 4 months later I still don't get the refund. I have been following up with them every week, if not nothing would happen. I called once from overseas to see where my check was, and the lady put me on hold while she was taking care of someone else. She then had to google how long a letter takes to arrive to my home town, because they had no tracking number or anything. There lack of concern and lack of accountability is truly astonishing. 4 months later they cancel the check and send one through FedEx with no rush, just regular two week delivery. Who cares how long it takes to arrive after all the this time. And I still don't know if I will be able to cash the check since I am not in the US, something that they still haven't answered. It is a shame since a good stay was overshadowed by the poor costumer service you get once a problem arises.

Didn’t not get a breakfast voucher after I paid for one when I got my key. Was dirty smelled like clean chemicals. Was told breakfast was at 6:30 but the worker was not ready had an event to go to so had to get ready to leave come back down to them asking for my breakfast voucher that I never received at this point I’m upset. Waited for the front desk to help me and didn’t believe I had a breakfast voucher. Ended up convincing him that I’d did pay and that they never gave me one. Long story short I got a bowl of oatmeal with strawberries with no milk and was late to my even. Very unsatisfied will not be back and won’t recommend

There’s a sewage smell in the Lobby. At first you might think someone cut the cheese but it’s there every time you enter or leave the lobby. This is our only complain.

I stayed at the Sonesta Hotel for 4 nights. Although I requested my room be cleaned, it was only cleaned once. The microwave didn't work and the air conditioner in my room, stayed cool despite my efforts to adjust the temperature. Thankfully the courteous front desk agent moved me to another room.

I stay there for business. This is a former Marriott courtyard so if you like courtyard you’ll like this property. I’ve stayed here a few times and manager is great. Staff is kinda hit or miss but pretty good overall. Housekeeping gals are very nice and rooms are clean and well kept. The lobby area and outside area are really great if you want to work outside of your room. But…the (Starbucks) coffee shop closes at 9:30 or 10am which makes NO sense. It’s really close to Mill street on ASU campus so you are within walking distance of some fun bars and restaurants. Two complaints… 1) The towels are HORRIBLE. They are like cardboard and made for children. I’m a fit 5’7 woman and can barely get it around me. 2) The comp lotion looks like a sauce pack from a fast food restaurant. Impossible to open and is barely enough to use on your hands. In a desert environment like Phoenix it’s ridiculous. Overall I would recommend this place if you're on business or for a short stay. Good value.

The property is certainly showing its age in the stained and dirty carpet in the hallways. The bathrooms are also very old and dirty. Also didn't see any housekeeping.

Siesta at Sonesta
Our check-in was wonderful- while she was unable to open the snack refrig, she found a work around. The room was modern & comfy. Dog friendly also. The charge for our dog was a bit steep, but the room was great versus cruddy dog rooms. Great downtown location & convenient parking.
