“Great Location”

This hotel is within easy walking distance of Mill Ave, which has lots of great restaurants, shops and pubs. It's a fun area and the hotel is less than a five minute walk. The service was good, and the room was clean, but the beds were amazing! Everything was obviously new and it was very plush! This was, by far, the most comfortable hotel bed I have ever slept in.

Area recommendations

Downtown Tempe is near ASU and has some nice microbreweries and restaurants. It's close to the airport and the fashion square mall. It is near Old Town Scottsdale, which also has some "main street" style charm.

When to go

It was 117 degrees when I visited, so beware of the summer months if you do not like the heat.

Dining

There are great pubs, pizza places and a great sushi place within walking distance.

Nightlife

There are bars in walking distance, but if you are looking for dance clubs- go to Scottsdale.

“The hotel with the best, most charming and accesible personell.”

My husband and I visited Tempe to attend the musical of " Les Miserables" . We invited our son and his wife to be with us. We were travelling from San Juan, Puerto Rico, and our son was doing the same from Charlotte, N.C. We are fully bilingual but hispanics none the less and we were expecting, in view of the recent laws of Arizona, a racist enviroment. We have travelled around the world and I can say, without hesitation, that this has been the most incredible experience regarding the hotel personell, as well as the people everywhere. They are honestly nice and we felt welcomed since we crossed the door toward the registration desk. We were oriented to the places to see and we admired the eco friendly "computer concierge". Congratulations! The facilities are clean, modern and elegant. The hotel is steps from Mills Avenue, which is very nice because all the action is there. The only thing that I would have changed was out of their hands: weather in June: 94 - 97. But if I could, I would return.

Area recommendations

Walk Mills Avenue for dining and night life. Visit the Botanical Gardens as it is one of the most extraordinary experiences. So much life within the cactus family was new to me. Visit the Heard Museum and you will discover how little you know of the Native American indians.

“Great Stay in Tempe.”

Everything was great, The room, The service and the people. Good location to resteraunts, Could walk to many of them. Only down side was the construction going on next door. Made it difficult to find a parking space. Will stay again.

“Good stay”

The stay was good overall, just no parking. Had to park a block away from the hotel due to holliday. Other than that everything was nice.

“Deep sleepers only.”

Great location with walking distance to ASU and Mill st. restaurants. Staff very friendly and helpful with clean, nice rooms. Only issue are freight trains that come barreling through 100 yards from hotel 2-3 times a night blowing their air horns. What a wakeup first night! They did move me to other side of building when I complained, but this only marginally helped.

“Not Impressed”

Not as updated as it should be, Next to train tracks, would hear the trains early in morning. Also one block over from Firehouse, and fire sirens all night one night of my stay
