Great pool area, especially for families!
Posted Jan 4, 2013
Pros: The location and pool.
Cons: TV in the room could be updated.
Location: Blocks from Old Town
The pool area is absolutely amazing. Gorgeous cabanas and lounges made for the perfect day lounging outside with a drink in hand. The restaurant attached had great food and some of the best margaritas I've ever had. I definitely recommend the cucumber margarita. The staff at the hotel was pleasant as well, even escorting me into my room when I arrived late at night so I got in safely. The hotel was close to Old Town and we had plenty of entertainment. I definitely would stay here again!

Great Value
Posted Jan 29, 2013
Pros: free internet, parking and room size
Cons: Chair did not fit well under the desk
Location: It was close to shopping and the hotel where my meeting was taking place
I stayed there mid May 2013 and paid $55 per night. This place is a great value. I have paid over $100 for comparable rooms.

Enjoyed sunning by the pool.
Posted Jan 9, 2013
Pros: The pool area. It had comfortable furniture to lounge on and covered areas to sit out of the sun.
Cons: The music by the pool in the morning.
Although aspects of the hotel seemed in need of a facelift, it was very clean and comfortable. Most of the staff were warm and hospitable and willing to assist as needed. The pool was clean and an enjoyable environment. It was a little startling to be by the pool in the morning taking in the quiet and easing into the day and have music suddenly play over the speakers at 9am...my body jumped. Otherwise, I really enjoyed my visit.

To the NON-PICKY people...Don't stay here!
Posted Jan 27, 2013
Pros: Nothing
Cons: Everything
Location: Scottsdale, AZ
I'm not a picky person in the least, but this hotel was awful. I made the mistake by choosing an Unpublished Rate Hotel on Expedia and I was given this Days Hotel in Scottsdale, AZ that is listed as a 3 Star Hotel. I saw the reviews prior to our trip and I was very leary, but I figured those negative reviews were from picky people. No way...they were 100% right! We had a handicap room because the hotel was full due to spring training. The extremely small room (don't know how a handicapped person could have manuvered) was furnished with '70's decor with a 20 year old blurry TV with a remote that didn't work. The bathroom base trim was filthy as well as a sponge-like material glued to the floor in front of the shower had mold---yuck! We complained to the front desk about the TV and they tried to switch remotes, but none worked so they gave us a $25 gift card to their restaurant (not so good food). They said that only the rooms facing the pool had newer TV's...what?! I called Expedia (their room telephone didn't work either) and complained and Expedia got in contact with this hotel front desk and they agreed to refund us the remaining 2 nights in a few days, but charge for the night we stayed. This shouldn't be classified as a 1 Star hotel. We switched to Country Inn & Suites in Scottsdale which as so much better, cheaper, including breakfast! They are so arrogant to call themselves a 3 star hotel and think noone will complain!

Came into town for the weekend to enjoy Spring Training games. This was probably the worst choice hotel I have stayed in while visiting Phoenix. Although the location is tremendous, and the hotel was clean, it was less than comfortable, on many levels. Both nights during our stay we were awoken at 2:00 am by rowdy patrons. We called the management staff to notify them of the constant noise that was disruptive over the past few hours. The night time manager said, "oh yes, I can see them from our front window", then proceeds to do nothing to stop the situation. After complaining to the day manager the next day, they said they would make note of it, to ensure it didn't happen again on the 2nd night. Unfortunately, the rowdy crowd was back, and chanted and yelled throughout the entire courtyard area. After calling management again, they said they would immediately take care of it. Wouldn't you know, not 10 minutes later the yelling presumes, and the rowdy crowd proceeds to break a fire extinguisher cabinet in the corridor. If you are looking for a great place to host a hotel party and not get kicked out due to noise violations, this is a great place for you. Anyone else looking for a peaceful nights rest needs to find another place to stay. Due to lack of responsiveness on the managements part, I would never recommend this hotel to anyone.

Great resort feeling

Pros: Pool area, good bar/Mexican restaurant
Cons: Would have liked a room fridge and warmer swimming pool
We really enjoyed being so close to Scottsdale and being able to walk back and forth a lot. Our only complaint is that the pool (supposedly heated) was really too cold for us to swim. The pool area is beautiful and we still spent quite a bit of time thereb but I would have really enjoyed swimming. This time of year it needs to be a little warmer.
