“There are much better hotels for the price”

We will not stay at this hotel again. Be prepared to pay .25 cents a bucket for ice. At check- in I said that we usually need an extra blanket and I was told flatly that I better call while there was somebody there" we don't keep blankets in the office". Little did I know that there was a SIGN in the room showing how much we would be charged for missing items from room (towels, lamps, pillows, blankets,ect). I guess they must attract desperate people. All I wanted was to borrow one for the night, I wasn't going to take it. I felt funny about the sheets. The bed looked re-made to me? I am a housekeeper and I know how used sheets look. Location of the hotel felt unsafe after dark. They did have breakfast including waffles but one of the waffle makers was broke. I had to stand in line, so it took a while. Toaster did not toast. BUT WE ARE DONE...

“We wil be back!”

The room was large. Bathroom and Roll-in shower easy to navigate. Brealfast was enjoyable and ----- the Wife appriciated the smokers welcomed Here sign! Motel is close to the I-17 and an easy on/off.

Area recommendations

Old Town Scottsdale, or Old Town Phoeniz both are well worth the visit. Actually any neighborhood with a 5 & Diner is GOOD!!! p.s.(I have no financial interest in these great places to eat.)

“Do not Stay here!”

I slept with the light one if that tells you anything. The 2nd night I stayed it rained & the ceiling started leaking. They move me to another room but it smelled worse than 1st one. Do yourself a favor and stay some place else!

“Happily Surprised”

I will go back when I'm back in town. I was surprised to see that the room looked exactly like the pictures. The room was very clean and the bed was very comfortable. I didn't expect that form a 'motel-like' exterior. The staff was very friendly and helpful. I was happily surprised to find that, for the price I paid, the serivice, room, and facilities were great. I'll be back next year. Thanks!

“so so hotel. price was right though”

The water faucet in shower was opposite of how it showed. The TV providing little clarity of picture. all snowy. hard to watch tv.

“Out of Town Flooring Company”

I had no problems here despite what some said. There are several vocational schools around and a car repair place that does have razor wire around their storage lot which means there is trouble lurking. There's absolutely NOTHING around this location which causes a little unease when arriving late at night. We were remodeling the Bed Bath on Tatum so we worked all night and I came in around 4 to 5 am and I played plenty of attention to my surroundings. Staff was polite and catered to any needs I had. You have to make a little detour to get to a west or north bound direction. NO food places close. No nothing close to be honest but it's an ok place to rest your head. Linens could have been cleaner.

Area recommendations

Stay near Tatum and Cactus. Rich side of town.

Dining

THere are hundreds of Mexican food places to chose from. Find a true local resident and get their opinion before picking from the internet. There is some real decent TRUE Mexican food there but I found a lot of Mom and Pop places were just fast food looking local.

“People curtious Room tight”

Air conditioners and room trimmings could use some work. Air conditioners in some rooms are not working good enough for AZ summers.
