Need more renovated, non-smoking roomsPosted Dec 10, 2013
Pros: Quiet neighborhood, our renovated room with new carpet and laminate flooring.
Cons: More renovated and non-smoking rooms
I arrived at a not so busy day, so figured there would be plenty of rooms available. The first room I was assigned was not good; it was on the first floor, when I opened the window, the screen's frame looked like it had been tampered with and bent. Everything was outdated and had poor lighting. Stains on the office chair and dirty carpet. Water damaged doors with crumbling edges. So I went back to the Front Desk to ask to see other rooms, and he showed me two others: one in almost the same poor condition, and another renovated. I chose the renovated one since it looked like the one in the pictures, which I expect. This was a comfortable room for the price. As for the first two rooms I looked at, those were unacceptable. I appreciate the staff being patient and helpful. It made me wonder...if 1 out of 3 rooms that I saw were renovated, then does that mean that 2 out of 3 rooms are outdated and in poor condition? I cannot recommend this hotel if I myself am not willing to take a chance to book this hotel again with the possibility that I get assigned one of those poor, outdated rooms. Our non-smoking room was pretty acceptable, except for the fact that the room next door was a smoking room. If all this is remedied, I would stay here again.

Was only there for one night and only used room. The bathroom door was broken and did not lock and when I looked out window there were boards just scattered on lawn. Room was very clean and has everything we needed

We needed a last minute place to stay and we chose this Extended stay. The service was great and I have never had anyone at a hotel call me right away to ask if my room was ok. Everyone was very courteous and nice to deal with. We would definately pick this place again.

Cons: better reservation booking
I made reservations online same day of stay and received confirmation via email. Upon arrival to hotel i did the front desk routine and was given a key, but as we got to room it was still occupied. Returned to front desk and was told no rooms are avaliable. We were directed to a different location about 5 miles away. Although this was farther from where we made plane to attend a meeting it was not bad, but the inconvienance it caused was bad given the evening arrival and having to find the other hotel during rush hour.

The hotel allowed what appeared to be intoxicated occupants in the room above ours to continue to throw furniture., fall down & be audibly disruptive. We thought the ceiling was going to collapse! I phoned the front desk at 3am to complain but the ruckus continued. I should have called the police.

Pros: the staff and the room layout
Cons: management and better scheduling of cleaning crew
The hotel was being renovated while we were there. The rooms were outdated, but there was obviously work in progress throughout the rest of the hotel. I don't mind old or outdated stuff, as long as it is clean and works! My only problem was with the waiting for our room. They were extremely short staffed with the cleaning crew so our room was not ready at check in time. I'm not sure who is at fault for that, but it was extremely frustrating considering we had a wedding to get to. An upgrade or discount would have been nice for the inconvenience... and almost missing the wedding!
