“Good base for visiting Arizona”

The hotel is far from downtown and tourist attractions, however the close proximity to highway makes everything easily accessible by car. I would not recommend the hotel for travellers that intend to spend time in and around the hotel: the outside pool is uninviting due to highway noise and view, grounds are non-existent. However, you get standard Farfield Inn amenities and service for a very reasonable price, which makes it a good value for travellers looking for a base for visiting Arizona.

Area recommendations

Scottsdale and Tempe most probably don't need to be mentioned here as they already are on every visitor's agenda. Phoenix area is home to many beautiful Frank Lloyd Wright buildings, which will mostlikely impress any traveller, whether closely interested or not in architecture. So, take a tour of Taliesin West, walk around and in the Grammage Auditorium and have a coffee at Arizona Biltmore hotel...

“North Phoenix”

Good value for the price I paid, friendly front desk staff, good breakfast. Just off interstate in a sea of auto dealerships. No surrounding restaurants, but I drove east a few miles and found a shopping area with a grocery.

“Great value!”

When we arrived after 11 PM, just off the interstate, the office door was secured and the hotel felt safe. When we found that our room was right next to the elevator, the young lady at the desk happily switch our room all the way down the hall. The room was quiet, the air conditioning worked well and the expanded continental breakfast was above average (though the seating was a bit tight.) We will definitely use this hotel again.

“You just can't beat this one for the money!”

My wife and I spent 2 nights here, and will definitely stay here again if we are ever again in the area. The rooms, though not large, are very clean and comfortable. They were in the process of installing new 52-inch flat panel TVs in every room while we were there, so all new guests will have that to look forward to. The breakfast buffet is held in a large comfortable room where you can watch the morning news on the large flat panel TV, and there is a very nice selection of breakfast items to choose from including some incredible waffles (made on the spot), Jimmy Dean sausage and egg muffins, and a good selection of pastries, cereals and fruit. The only thing that we didn't particularly like was that the motel is located quite close to I-17, and you do get some road noise at poolside. We didn't really notice it when in our room, however. We had to give this one all 5s across the board on our rating!

“Perfect stay”

I stayed there for 5 nights during business meetings. The staff went beyond courteous and friendly. The room was clean and comfortable. I will definately stay there again on my next trip. Very good value.
