The San Marcos has been remodeled extensively and is wonderful. Our room was large and very tastefully decorated, with a lovely courtyard outside with palm trees and flowers that we could sit over on a large balcony. The vintage buildings (originally opened in about 1913) are lovely with updated open spaces and the old design retained. My only complaint was a second-rate breakfast in the cafe--our daughter's was fine, but the kitchen ignored my requests and my wife's. Easy walking to lovely restaurants in "historic" downtown Chandler. I grew up in this area in the 1950's, and lots has changed, almost all to the good, with lively sidewalk cafes and lovely landscaping.
