“Not the best hotel ever but would probably go back.”
This hotel was in a very convenient location, right off the 10 freeway. The parking was ample with a large, 'extended' area around to the side (if the front lot was full). The hotel itself was a little run down, we thought. Lights in the room (bulbs) were not working and the housekeeping staff never replaced any of them during the three nights we were there. The room, though, was comfortable enough but lacked some of the amenities we are used to in other places --- extra bed pillows and blankets, for example. The hotel staff was very friendly and helpful. Restaurants and shops nearby within walking distance. The price was right.
“Great Price, but not so great quality”
We got what we paid for - it served as a place to sleep, but we wouldn't make it a destination stop. It is an older hotel, which isn't a problem, but the cleanliness wasn't good. The front desk was hard to contact, even when standing in front of the desk someone wouldn't respond right away. Our room faced the pool, and another group was quite noisy that night at the pool - although we can't really complain as we didn't ask anyone to stop it.
“Conveniently Located, would stay again”
Pros: 1. Across the street from Golds Gym and includes free gym passes 2. Just off Highway 10 (convenient and easy to find) 3. Located very close to a Walmart and just about every fast food establishment 4. Great prices 5. Refrigerator and microwave in room 6. Staff was very helpful and pleasant Cons: 1. No free Wi-Fi. They had an internet terminal that cost $3/minute, and it cost money to print as well (I therefore wasn't able to check in with my Airline from the hotel). I would suggest they make this terminal free in exchange for not having Wi-Fi. 2. Older hotel. The room was dated, but the fact that it was such a good deal I was able to look past it. 3. The room's air conditioning unit had a thermostat attached to it but still seemed to run non-stop. Overall: If you are interested in a good deal and don't require internet access in your hotel, I would definitely recommend the Grace Inn. I would stay there again.
“We will be back”
We fall in love with Phoenix ! Grace Inn thanks !
“A good deal”
It seems to be an older property. The single worst aspect was that the "free wi-fi" only worked in the lobby or the second floor open area; happily I was on the second floor. Because I was on vacation rather than work, this was only mildly annoying and a good excuse not to log in to work. If I had been there for work, it would have been unacceptable that the connectivity did not extend to the rooms. I even went and bought a cord to connect to the room's phone lines, but to no avail. It's a pleasant enough place if you're looking for an inexpensive, convenient place to stay, but I would not recommend it for business travel.
“Very enjoyable”
We really enjoyed our stay at the Grace Inn Phoenix. Very nice place to stay we really enjoyed the pool and tennis courts and thought it was great they had tennis rackets available at the front desk to use for no charge. Staff was very friendly and helpfull. Rooms were great and was really nice to have a refridgerator in the room. Would definitely recommend!!!
“Convenient”
This is an older hotel that was probably in its prime 20-30 years ago. The room still has formica counter tops in the bathroom and an older microwave. The fridge was larger than normal. The furniture needed a little Old English on the TV stand and the TV was not a flat screen. It was perfect for me. I needed to be near family members and did not live in the room. It was cleaned daily and the housekeepers were very polite. As a former maid years ago, I cannot tolerate filth in a hotel room, and have often cleaned other hotel rooms myself! It is not fancy, obviously, but for a place to spend the night and take a shower it was just fine. The pool was heated, but I did not use it. I have paid more for hotels all over the country, and have not been as satisified. One convenience I did miss was wireless in the room. It is available in the lobby; however, since I am taking online classes it would have been wonderful to have it in the room. I would stay here again.
“Old Hotel...”
I tried the Grace Inn Phoenix because of spring break and options were limited. The lobby and front desk areas were nice but when I walked in the room it was like i stepped back in time... old, old, old. The shower was gross and I skipped using it the next morning - it crossed my mind to wrap laundry bags around my feet but none were provided. The room was circa 1965 and really was not worth the $129. I will not be staying here again.
“Good Place for Spring Training”
I nice place to stay for a spring training trip. I have come back many years. Good location, close to restaurants, freeway, shopping, theaters... Check out the . Room cleanliness and comfort was good. Room could use some upgrades in the equipment. The TV was an old tube set that should be replaced. AC fans and bathroom lighting and shower could use some work as well. Overall a good value and a pleasant stay.
“Yucky Motel”
The Grace Inn is one of those rare hotels that looks ok from the outside, but is like a cheap crack motel on the inside. The halls are unlit, the rooms are dim and dirty, and the bed was very stained. Several times during the night people tried to get into my room (I had the chain lock in, which kept them from getting in) but as a woman alone this was scary. This hotel is in a decent neighborhood and the shower had hot water and good pressure. Other than that, it was a pretty dim experience. Despite being quite inexpensive, I wouldn't stay here again.
