“Clean, comfortable, serviceable.”

As with most Hampton Inns, the hotel was clean & the location worked for the schedule we had. Hotel staff were friendly & helpful and the room was clean. The surrounding area would not be convenient if one was looking for easy access to restaurants or shopping. Overall, I would recommend it if access to major roads was important for a business trip but not for a pleasure outing.

Area recommendations

If staying in the Phoenix area for pleasure, larger hotels in Phoenix proper or Scottsdale would be my recommendation. Some are expensive but the areas are much more attractive than neighbiorhoods near the airport, a consideration for us on this trip.

“Not a Hampton I would go back to”

By mistake I was booked into the PHX Hampton Airport South, instead of Airport North. What a difference!! This place reminded me of a second rate seedy place. No microwave, no refrigerator, bad coffee in the room, a very musty odor and not up to the Hampton image. Needs a complete makeover.

“Can't beat this for price and cleanlyness and great staff.”

Can't say enough great things about this place. I've stayed in many Hampton Inns, but this one so far out does them all. The staff is awesome. So friendly and helpful. The ease of checking in and out was so great and fast. The cleanness and comfort great. If I am ever back in the phoenix area, I will be staying at the Hampton!!!!

“Convenient, Affordable, and an Excellent Value -- Definitely Recommended”

The Hampton Inn & Suites, Phoenix Airport-South is convenient to Sky Harbor airport and ASU. Well kept, quiet, clean, and offering a very decent breakfast, this Hampton Inn is exactly what I wanted before my morning flight out of Phoenix. A 10 minute drive got me to good restaurants near the university and the pleasant staff provides simple directions to the airport. Should a similar need arise, I would definitely stay at the The Hampton Inn & Suites, Phoenix Airport-South again.

Area recommendations

Dinner at the House of Tricks near ASU is highly recommended.

“Hampton Inn South”

Nice hotel in a so-so neighborhood. Not that close to Phx. Housekeeping didn't change my bedsheets. TV set is archaic.

“Will use every chance I get!”

I've used Hampton Inn twice this year both times I have been extremely satisfied. They have great customer service. A great breakfast buffet. Nice comfortable rooms. Overall I wonderful experience. I have a few events coming up and I plan to have all my out of town guests stay at this hotel.

“Nice Stay”

Stayed at the hotel during High School Baseball playoffs at Tempe Diablo Stadium. Great location for that. Breakfast had plenty of choices and tasted great. The only thing the kids (6 & 8) were disappointed about was that the pool was being refurbished. We really wanted to go swimming. Overall great place to stay.
