“when in tempe should'nt stay anywhere else!”
great breakfast very comfortable beds huge rooms. easy on off to the 101 hwy.
“Great location”
The hotel was in a great location, great breakfast, one of the best I have had included bacon, sausage and eggs. The only complaint I have is the beds are really hard, but I have yet to find a bed as comfortable as my bed at home.
“Nice hotel to stay”
Hotel emplyee is nice, indoor entrance, make you feel safe. Location is near the business district, it's quiet at night. Room size is big, plenty of space. The only complaint is the bathroom kind of small the toilet is not in a comfortable setup.
“Ridiculous!”
The photos were not representative of the room. Instead of a cablnet underneath the sink, the sink pipes were exposed. On both days we had to ask when housekeeping would arrive. This was after 3 p.m., when we returned from the day's activities. They had only two housekeepers, but at one point there were four people at the front desk.
“Horrible”
No full hot breakfast and the pool was just as dead as the staff.
“Not happy”
The overall condition of the hotel is run down, the pool was closed for maintenance but there was never anyone working on it. The ice machines were also broken. The room was dated, bathroom especially but clean. At their busiest times, there was not enough staff. Breakfast was setup but as the food was eaten, there wasn't anyone available to replenish it. A guest made coffee each morning instead of waiting for it. Even the muffins and cereal ran low. On the second morning after finding a repeat of the previous day, we went to Ihop. Also at check-in, only one staff member trying to handle everything. There was a wedding party staying there and it was busy. The one person was trying to get all checked in as well as answer questions about the area. he really needed some assistance. I debated whether to ask for a refund since we could not use the pool. The days were quite warm and we choose it since it had an outdoor pool. In the end, we just made do and decided that we would not stay in this hotel again. We were disappointed with their management.
“Sleep in your car before you stay at this place!”
Upon arriving, the room had visible dirt on the floor, obviously hadn't been vacuumed in some time. The bed appeared to have been roughly made, and my wife discovered hair on the pillow. we requested and received another room, and discovered the floor in this room to be dirty as well. There were no towels, hand soap in the bathroom. The desk clerk was polite, but responded as though our complaints/issues with the room were the norm. I would NEVER return to this hotel!!! I also found the rating of 3 stars to be highly over rated, given the poor condition of the room(s) we stayed in,,very over rated.
“New Management - not the time to stay here”
This hotel is in the process of switching owners. Everything is a mess at the moment. Check in was awful. It took about 45 minutes. The first room we were given was not made up. The people in front of us were given 3 dirty rooms before the 4th room they got was finally clean. They did not know how to use the new computer systems so could not properly check people in. The breakfast was only cold cereal and bagels. They said they had eggs, sausage, potatoes etc, but did not have the permits changed to the proper name so could not make hot food. The staff tried REALLY hard to make the management transition as smooth as possible and the rooms were fine , but with all the choices out there I would NOT stay here.
“Poor Conditon of Hotel --- Will not be using them again”
I have stayed at this hotel several times, but it seems that the management/ownership must have changed. They had difficulty dealing with the reservation through Expedia then told us that they did not have a permit for the pool so if we used it, then it was at our own risk. The shower made loud noises through the piping, two of the lamps did not work, and all of the air conditioning units in the hallways (common areas) were pulled from the walls, leaving gaping holes in the walls. The desk provided was also unsturdy. This will be the last time that we are using this hotel and I do not recommend it to others.
“Meh”
This struck me as a shockingly average hotel, from the accommodations to the customer service. Based on what I read on-line, I expected a little bit more. I was trying to strike a balance between a great room and a decent price. I should have just paid more to stay elsewhere. So maybe it's my fault. I mean, it wasn't terrible. It just wasn't particularly good either. I accomplishes the task of putting a roof over your head so you can sleep, and the beds are comfy. But if you want more, you'll need to go somewhere else IMO.
