Need UpgradePosted Mar 6, 2014
Pros: The Happy Hour
Cons: Needs Upgrades
Location: Spring Training
The shower Leaked. The toilet ran all night. The television was old and fuzzy. The front desk sent up a man with a cable for the TV. It did not work; we gave up. The hot tub jets only worked on one side. Because be booked online we were not eligible for the free breakfast. The only positive was the happy hour every night.

Not for the discerning guestPosted Mar 6, 2014
Pros: Good location near downtown Scottsdale if you don't mind strip clubs to the north and south.
This is an OK hotel for those wanting a place for a long stay for not too much money. Each unit has a kitchenette (bring your own everything) featuring a 20-year old refrigerator and an electric stove of uncertain vintage. Our first room smelled awful (stale smoke, wet stucco??). The second was better but a couple-hour airing out was necessary. The whole property is very tired. Bathroom desperately needed updating. It was clean enough and housekeeping did an acceptable job. Adjoining restaurant was a hang-out for young people and not very welcoming.

Disappointing StayPosted Feb 16, 2014
Pros: There was a free happy 90 minutes with drinks, but we didn't actually go to it, but it seemed like a nice feature.
Cons: Warn costumers that the air will be turned off during the "cold season" so there is an upfront expectation; better customer service.
Location: Restaurant on property, not the best area of town, but easy to get to major freeways. Many adult stores nearby if that is your thing.
The hotel was meant to just be a place to sleep at the end of the day. We checked in and staff was friendly and helpful, we found our room easily and though it was smaller than we expected and had an odor, it was tolerable. Initially what I liked was that it seemed like the room had central air, not a window unit. The air ran all night and had a dial that we could control and though we had it at 50 degrees, it didn't seem to go below 70 degrees, which made the small room stuffy. We were exhausted the first night, we instantly fell asleep. We left early the next morning and when we stopped at the room at5pm, the room was freezing cold, remember we had set the temp at 50 the night before. We adjusted the control and went back out. When we came back, we lowered the temperature to get ready for bed, nothing happened. The thermostat now read 75 degrees and we could not get the unit to turn on at any temperature. We called the front desk and was told that since this is Arizona's cold time of the year, they turn off the a/c for the entire hotel. We complained that the room was hot and they said there was nothing that they could do. We tried opening the window which was barely held in place on the rail by a metal locking mechanism and screw. We got it open but with the sounds of sirens and cars, we were not able to sleep. The temp outside at 10pm was 70 degrees, at 2am it was 66. The front desk people were rude and abrupt, hanging up on us twice, and said talk to the manager at 7.

Comfortable--not luxuriousPosted Feb 6, 2014
Reasonably clean. A cheap alternative to a resort environment. Very economical.
