Nice Hotel with Bad Locks

Posted Jul 19, 2014
Stayed here for a little getaway with my girlfriend. The room was very nice and modern although the locks to the door were not. We spent most of our night outside of our room because our keys would not work. I had then make me more and they still did not work. We found out that the lock had gone bad and that it needed to be replaced and we would not be able to get our stuff for us at all. The front desk seemed as if it was a thing that happened all the time. It was about midnight when all we wanted to do was shower and sleep and now we weren't able too. They put us in another room and gave us a free tooth brush and tooth paste until it got fixed which took almost 1 1/2 hours maybe 2 and then we were presented with new keys. We then went back up and the keys failed to work again. We had to get the front desk to open up our door everytime we had to do something outside of the room. The man at the front desk said he would cover the room for the night so I am currently waiting to see how long it takes Hotel Indigo and Expedia to get my saftey deposit back and to refund me for the room we barely stayed in.

The hotel is a little hard to find and maybe this is the reason it is such a good value for your money.

Great location, great hotel.

Pros: Location
This is my go to old town Scottsdale hotel. The location is great without the Scottsdale prices, the rooms are lovely and you can walk to so many great eats and drinks. If you are looking for the Scottsdale summer pool scene this is not your hotel but if you are looking for a chill hotel to relax before you enter the Scottsdale show then this is the place for you. I have stayed here a few times and recommend to anyone trying to figure out "where is the right spot" in old town.

Nice hotel and very friendly and helpful staff.

Posted Apr 28, 2014
Pros: Room, staff, facilities, food, costs.
Cons: Sound insulation.
Location: It's close to everything, banks, shopping, nightclubs, bars, restaurants, public transport links.
This was a great hotel if only some thought was given to better sound insulation. It's not the hotel's fault that the music and clubbers are loud and can keep you awake until the early hours. Apparently, the hotel management/owners have tried to abate the noise, without success. So, if you are a sound sleeper or night clubber, it is perfect. It is very convenient for everything and a return visit would be made.

Just OK

We booked a room with a king bed and when we checked in she said two doubles. I said no but that was "all they had left" and offered to do nothing. Room was updated but almost cheap. Shower was the worst design I have seen, no door or curtain so entire bathroom was soaked after a shower. For the price, I expected more. There are however, many things within walking distance to the hotel.

Great location if you want to be near clubs.

If you want to be near the night clubs, this is the spot for you. Hotel pool is decent, not great. No drink or food service by the pool.
