Just wonderful. Really enjoyed the decor. The service in the restaurant was just ok, but overall a really great stay.

Not Very Pleased

The style and amenities of this hotel would be great, if the beds weren't horribly uncomfortable, they do not provide sheets or extra pillows and the amenities were accessible, they advertised a steam room that was not available and the spas were quite temped.

I’m sorry you found the bed to be uncomfortable. Our mattresses are made locally by Simmons and were all replaced in the last year. The beds have duvets with removable covers, but if you prefer a flat sheet and/or extra pillows we can definitely accommodate that. Our steam rooms are being converted to saunas which unfortunately requires that they be closed for a short while. The saunas will debut this Sunday. My apologies if the Jacuzzi was not hot enough. We do heat them, but with many nights having freezing temperatures this month that has affected the maximum temperatures we can reach. We appreciate your feedback, thank you.

The hotel has a good location, the bed is not so big, amenities is just average. You have to pay for everything in the room.

We appreciate your feedback. Our rooms have either two double beds or one king bed. Rather than charging a resort fee like many of the other hotels in the area, we offer items a la carte so that you only pay for what you use. We do have some great complimentary offerings, including our fitness center, in-room coffee, lobby newspapers, basic Internet, and self parking.

Retro Hotel

Definitely a great place to stay. Enjoyed every moment of it. Our room was on the main level overlooking the pool. We had an easy access to the pool from our patio. The staff were great. We got a great room price, normally it can be expensive to stay.

Pros: Rooms were awesome!
Cons: stairs/elevators
Had a nice stay @ the Valley Ho, convenient to everywhere in Scottsdale :)

Good and Not So good.

Good: fun retro decor. Quiet for sleeping. Convenient location. Good pillows. Not so good: Wi-Fi did not work in hotel room. Toilet room door did not open fully. My husband hit his shin several times on the bed frame. Now has a nasty looking wound (he is diabetic). I HATE duvets -- I am either way too hot or way too cold. How about a top sheet and a blanket? Then I have some options.

I’m sorry that the WiFi in your room was not working properly. We upgraded our system last year to ensure that we can accommodate high speeds and multiple devices per guest. With more information, we’d love to investigate the issue. We’d also love to know which room you were in so that our engineering room can fix the door, my apologies. I’m sorry that your husband injured his shin on the bed frame; the bed platform is extended from the mattress a bit at the bottom and we went with a bold fabric to help it stick out visually. Our standard bedding setup is the duvet with removable cover, but we’re always happy to provide a top sheet and blanket if you would like one.
