Decent place to spend a night after a late flight.

Posted Apr 3, 2014
Pros: The location is great and the staff is very helpful. The airport shuttle is a huge advantage also.
Cons: The breakfast options were limited. The pillows in the rooms were all the same, quite hard and big, so it made it difficult to rest well.
Location: Close to downtown Phoenix (20 minutes cab ride)
We only spent a night after a late flight into Phoenix . It was fine for our purpose, close to the airport, clean, quiet, with helpful friendly staff. Breakfast is provided, although there is not much choice besides carbs. Fruit choice was also limited (apples and oranges that did not look too good). We liked the lobby and the airport shuttle available to hotel guests. The rooms were roomy, clean and basic. The bed was comfortable, but the pillows were all of the same kind and ours were the big hard kind. Overall, it was an okay experience, perfect for our purpose. Thank you.

Poor choice for overnight stay

Posted Apr 1, 2014
Cons: cleanliness, staff being more *happy*
Room are not very inviting, looks overall dirty. The staff did not recognized our confirmation through expedia, therefore charged us for the room a second time, without being convenient otherwise, even if we had a proof and itinary number attached to the expedia receipt.. Overall poor choice...

Hotel close to the airport

Posted Mar 31, 2014
Pros: The room was quiet even though it was fairly close to Pheonix airport. The continental breakfast included was more than adequate.
Location: The location was fairly close to the Pheonix airport. There was also a Ruby Tuesdays restaurant with in walking distance.
The hotel was close to the airport in Pheonix and provided prompt and helpful service to and from the airport.

It is a D U M P and I would never recommend it.

Posted Mar 27, 2014
Pros: Nothing
Cons: Bulldoze it.
Let me count the ways. The parking situation was a joke. I had to practically bribe the desk clerk to get a parking space so we would be sure our car wasn't blocked to prevent an early departure to the airport. The lighting fixtures were falling off the wall. The shower stall has no shelf to put soap or shampoo. The bed sheet had holes in it. The stopper in the bathroom sink was broken, the toilet did not flush properly.

Will never stay there again

Posted Mar 22, 2014
Pros: Not much of anything.
Cons: Everything. Clean the rooms. Wash the sheets and towels with bleach. Having stains on the bedclothes is just disgusting.
Location: It's close to the airport, so that's about the only plus. There's a Ruby Tuesday nearby, so at least there's somewhere good to go for dinner.
The only good thing about this place is its proximity to the airport. The hotel is in a somewhat seedy neighborhood, and the hotel itself is pretty shabby. One of the decorative pillows on the bed had some kind of gross stain on it, and all the towels and sheets were dingy. The bottles of lotion/conditioner/shampoo were all half used. There was supposed to be coffee in the room, but there was just a single package of decaf. The air conditioner made such a racket that we couldn't even hear the TV and practically had to yell to hear each other. The floors were so squeaky that we could hear the people in the next rooms walking around; and the walls were so thin that we could hear talking and traffic noise all night. The night clerk was very pleasant, but the morning guy was a grouch -- when we asked him about the shuttle service to the airport, he was very rude.

Terrible Experience

Posted Mar 14, 2014
Pros: Nothing!
Cons: Management's hospitality, not overbooking the hotel and then giving confirmed rooms away.
The first night I had to share a room with the owner of the hotel because they overbooked, which was awkward. While I was gone on company business the next morning, the hotel gave my shared room away and left me with no room at all. Luckily, I had a coworker staying there as well so we shared a room. Management was VERY disrespectful and unhelpful when my managers called to inquire about why they gave my room away.

Bad...very bad!...unless you like stale smoke

Posted Mar 14, 2014
Room was non-smoking, smelled horrible!!! Couldn't sleep because the smell stung my throat. Staff...non existent. One man show and you better hope he's happy. Don't stay here, definitely not worth 100, maybe 45 but not 100. Steer clear.

Cheap stay close to light rail.

Posted Mar 1, 2014
The facility is dated and the plumbing needs work. But it's a cheap stay one block from light rail. The complimentary breakfast could use some improving. Compared to surrounding accommodations, it's a good value for the business traveler who doesn't get hung up on where they hang their hat at night and don't want to waste money.

Close to airport is the only plus

Posted Feb 12, 2014
Came down for a football game... Thought Howard Johnson was a "good brand". Tiny outdated room with PAPER THIN walls. The maids coming around in the morning sounded like a train rolling through. There was a hole in the bathroom wall (likely meant to be a fan vent), but it went to outside and it was winter time (aka freezing shower!)
