I rarely stay at b-n-b's. I'm not a fan of their usual old-timey decor or inflated prices. However, ZenYard is anything but a traditional b-n-b. The price was reasonable & I was able to book hassle-free through Expedia. The owner texted me when the room was ready, although I was busy doing a Zen retreat in the wilderness. I purposefully rented the small room since it was cheaper. It faces the pool and was perfectly comfortable after a week in the desert. Nice pool. FULLY stocked honor bar. When I asked about a special tea I like, they got some out of their personal kitchen. I felt like I was staying at the home of a friend. The owners retained the library amassed by the former owner (a holistic health nut) and I paged through a few books before bed. Though I was traveling alone & am a budget traveler, the owners made me feel comfortable. They are apparently going through a lot of red tape to make this an eco-friendly b-n-b. There was a sudden monsoon rainstorm on the day I arrived. Just like that, the place became incredibly magical.

I was treated like a well known celebrity while relaxing at this resort. There was not a want or need that wasn't met while I was a resident. The spa was fabulous, the food delectable, the bell hops curteous, the pool personnel phenomenal. I loved this place, and will definately return.

The staff at the resort were all very friendly. It was almost an annoyance being told to have a good day every time you passed the front desk but after the first couple of days you learn to relax and return the good gesture every pass. The staff made us feel really welcome throughout our entire stay.
The coffee was excellent but since they only offered complimentary coffee for brief period in the morning I was a little disappointed having to order it from the restaurant. It was a major brand of coffee - I'm sure you have all seen their kiosks all over the country - so I can understand why the resort didn't just give it away.
The only negative thing I experienced was the resort fees charged at check out. Beware your stay will be a little more than what you pay through a third party. Overall it was worth it though.
