Very good
“3rd Visit”
I have stayed there 3 times, its a good value. It has its issues but they are minor. Needs a microwave! Rooms are clean, people are friendly. Bathroom is great. Soaking tub is awesome; its the reason that I go.
“front staff not great”
We specified during our booking that we needed a crib. Upon arrival I double checked that it would be ready in the room. The girl said, no, and that I should have asked before arrival. She said all the housekeeping staff had gone home for the night and they were the ones who put cribs in rooms (it was bout 5:30 pm). I said I had specified and she disappeared for about 15 minutes. I had to help her heave the crib up the stairs. She then rolled it up to our room (it's a sprawling Inn). I joked that maybe I should get a free breakfast out of it. She just starred blankly at me like this was "normal". The next day I called the front desk. The pool was closed (not mentioned on Expedia). She was unapologetic. I also told them that the pilot light in the fireplace had gone out and that we found a sock under the bed and recounted the crib incident. She too was unapologetic. She was short with me and acted like it was no big deal and I was bothering her with my concerns. The room was big. It showed signs of age but mostly kept up. The views were fantastic. I won't be staying there again because the way I was treated.
“great golf resort in north Scottsdale”
Fantastic little hotel in north Scottsdale attached to a larger golf resort community. Awesome well maintained course with top notch facilities. Our room was great with a fireplace and Jacuzzi. My only gripe was that the TV in our room was from the 90s. It was a small CRT television. Not a big deal because we didn't really have a lot of time to watch TV but a bummer for someone that is going to relax a lot in the room.
“Bad Experience / Nice Hotel”
First off, this hotel is beautiful and the price was very affordable, so I would recommend it based on that. But, I had a really bad experience with the staff during the night that ruined our one night stay there. We had taken a bath in their bath tub and we accidentally left the water in the tub as we went on with our evening. At about 10:30 PM while we were already asleep, we received a phone call from the front desk woman with a very accusing and rude tone saying that we need to check if the tub was overflowing because it was leaking into the roof of the downstairs room. I knew that I had not left the tub on so that couldn't be the case but I woke up and checked on it anyway to be sure and it was exactly as I had thought. So I unplugged the drain to let the water empty and got back on the phone to tell her that there was no overflowing and I was draining the water. That should have been it ... At that point I was angry at her accusing tone but didn't think much about it and went back to sleep, and about 15 minutes later there was a loud knock on the door and the front desk woman came up to our room completely unannounced and didn't even say who she was after knocking. We had a do not disturb sign on the door and we had already fallen back asleep! I had to take her into the bathroom to prove that there was no flooding and she rudely told me to not use the bath anymore during our stay and left. Horrible horrible service! And a restless night after that.

very quiet place love the envirnment of desert small pool area makes not go. room was nice set up and clean.
“BEST IN FOUNTAIN HILLS!”
The hotel is an absolute find. You feel like you are in the middle of the desert. So quiet but you are just minutes from everything you need. The rooms are a good size and super clean. The details are amazing. We had a gas fireplace in our room - lovely. Checking in and out was a breeze. Parking was super. The grounds are well maintained. The only negative was the 18% service charge for room service. Please note that this is clearly listed on the menu so it's not a hidden fee. Great value for the beauty of this hotel. It's a hidden gem.
“A Wonderful Stay!”
If you enjoy peace and quiet, along with a wonderful staff, this is a great place to go to get away from the noisy cities. Although the refrigerator was small, it was enough to hold snacks and beverages. Some rooms are a flight or two of stairs, but once you get there, it's well worth it. The pool may be small in comparison to those at the city hotels, yet it is always clean and refreshing. Bed was perfectly comfortable. What a serene experience, we will definetly re ommend the hotel to our family and friends.
“A Jewel In the Desert”
This place was great, with a beautiful view of the valley from our balcony. The suite was clean and comfortable with very attractive southwestern decor. The pool was not very large but clean and enjoyable and the spa was also very nice. Not a good place for kids since there were no accomodations for play, more of a quiet adult retreat. Close to plenty of places to eat, to include the clubhouse for the golf course next door. This one gets added to our favorites for Staycations in our beautiful state of Arizona. We will definitely go back.
“Great value and good nearby dining opportunities”
Super location for the eastern side of Phoenix, in the under-rated Fountain Hills community. Value was fantastic for the price! The VU restaurant above the hotel property has an out-of-this world view of the valley below, pretty good food, and quality vocal entertainment on the weekends. The Eagle Mountain Golf Club adjacent to the hotel has good breakfast and lunch menu (during the summer the dinner is closed).
