The worst hotel experience I ever had

Posted Aug 18, 2014
I would never recommend this place to anybody not even to my worst enemy, the hotel pictures look nothing like the actual hotel, the first room they put me in wasn't ready and look less than perfect and visually dirty, the next room seem worse than the one they wanted to originally place me in the toilet was leaking water dirty floors the TV was dated, the carpet was dirty everything was old there was mold on the walls and the towels were old and dingy, there were wrappings from some restaurant left on the countertop and other known signs from non cleanliness, I couldn't stay the night, I left immediately, and they refused to give me a refund.

Cheap but horrifying

Posted Jul 31, 2014
Pros: Quick check-in
Cons: basically everything
Location: Bad part of town suppose there's lots of cool places to get tattoos
I stay in Mesa several times a month for work and am always looking for a 1 or 2 star room with a budget price. I usually get in after 5 pm and get up up no later than 4 am so I'm not there for the nightlife or amenities and have no expectations that my room will be fancy. However this motel (although priced rock bottom as are all their competitors within a stones throw) is pretty awful. Several bugs greeted me as I entered the room and quickly realized that a remote control for the TV isn't provided. Bathtub floor was dirty and towels were stained as overall cleanliness was unacceptable. The sink head was burned and bath drain was partially clogged and took over 15 minutes to drain after my shower and as others have noted pool is drained. When I woke up in the morning I had company in bed as a small lizard was napping on the pillow next to me and even more bugs were on the walls. I think my expectations are set pretty low and realistic for my work trips but this place doesn't come close, never again!

Be prepared for minimal expectations......

Pros: Good front desk staff. Cheap price for sure if you are willing to accept "you get what you pay for."
Cons: Better control over the local people walking all over the parking lot soliciting the guests. Quite scary.
The hotel front desk staff was kind and accommodating. The general location of this hotel was in a less than desirable area with the locals being a problem. On premises I was "accosted" for money for gas by a guy who did not even own a car and asked "for a light" by a lady who was a renter for the same night and complained herself about this hotel not being good for the price. The bed had a metal pole supporting the bed horizontally at mid point that stuck out about 8" on the left side. My ankle mid evening hit this rather hidden beneath the dust ruffle and sustained quite the bruise. The curtains had burn marks on them and the sheets had small holes all over the corner edges. Towels were totally "gray" in color and there was no hair dryer in the room. If it were not for the courtesy of the front desk man, I would rate this place in the Twilight Zone. Let the buyer beware.....

OK for a quickie. Zero noise tolerance

Posted Jun 18, 2014
Pros: The price was super cheap.
Cons: Cleaniness of room
Location: Near center of downtown Mesa. We rode bicycles around town instead of driving due to light rail construction.
Zero noise tolerance. Saw several bugs in the bathroom. A/C vents were so caked with dirt and dust that it barely cooled. Only one towel provided in a two queen bed room. Box spring mattress was torn. No microwave. Other than that it was okay for a quick over night stay. We survived and slept well in the bed closiest to the a/c. .

Dirty, scary, and hot as all get out.

The carpet was sticky and covered in crumbs, the bed sheets were clearly stained, the security latch on the door had been broken, the AC unit didn't cool the room, and the TV channels were all completely choppy. The staff was nice, but the room was filthy and seemed unsafe.

For $25 not bad. I wish I had more than what was basically a large washcloth for a towel. They are so short handed on these over-sized washcloths they have to clean the rooms and bring back the towels later.
