“Good for its price range”

I was near the front desk and breakfast room, which got noisy in the early morning. Otherwise the hotel and room were nice.

Area recommendations

One really can't stumble into a bad neighborhood in Phoenix. Usual precautions will keep you and your possessions safe. I stay in various areas depending on where I have to be the next day. Phoenix has big city traffic, so it's more importatnt to stay close to where you want to be than to worry about neighborhoods here.

When to go

It is waaaay to hot from May-September. Every one who can leave the city does when school lets out, returning when school starts up again in August. Even lying poolside in summer is miserable. On the plus side, Phoenix shines in the winter time. The weather is gorgeous, and outdoor activities are abundant.

What to pack

Shorts and T-shirts are worn year-round. It's flipping hot in the summer, temperate in the winter. Night-time temperatures don't drop very far. It does rain in the summer, but people pretty much stay inside until the rain passes, which doesn't take long.

“Not worth any amount of money”

“A very enjoyable experience.”

The room was larger than I expected and it was neat and very clean. Each evening when I returned to the room it was as clean as when I had first arrived. The continental breakfast was nothing spectacular, a normal continental breakfast, however, the attendant assigned to keeping the area clean and stocked did an outstanding job. My experience was very satisfying.

“Not up to La Quinta par”

Oh my. NOT the standard I used to with La Quinta's. Had to change rooms--room 1 was a bit on the yuck side--super old blanket, closet doors falling off hinges. Room 2 was better, BUT...you should see the microwaves. They looked like they were some bizarro brand from 1970. Never seen anything like it. Bathrooms were not impressive but were clean. Seemed safe. I would not stay there again.

“Basic and functional, but not a top choice”

I booked the hotel because of the free shuttle service from the airport, and decent reviews by travelers. Later found out that there are many many other choices which are closer, in better neighborhoods, and also offer better accomodations at the same price, and also free shuttle. (On the return leg through the airport I booked a Radisson for about the same price, and it was much nicer). Anyway, I was not really unhappy, but I just feel there are other offers in the area which may be better. Accomodation had fridge and sink, and an old style CRT tv, and king size bed. There was a Mex rest nearby and a Circle K convenience store.

“Vehicle broken into...beware, not secure parking”

We stayed at this hotel specifically because we were leaving to go on vacation for a week and wanted a place where we could park our car for the week. The hotel room was fine. the continental breakfast was very good. The shuttle service was great. However, when we arrived back from our vacation, our vehicle had been broken into. It had the passenger side window broken in, with glass everywhere. We had been informed that this had happened 3 days prior to our arrival. The shuttle driver was very nice in helping us clean up the glass. We would have appreciated a phone call about the break in, as we have friends who would have come and gotten the vehicle so that it did not sit there for three days just waiting for the rest of our belongings to be stolen. Luckily all the was stolen was a cell phone and nothing else that was in the vehicle. We usually do not review hotels negatively but we felt it was important for other travelers to know that this is not a safe parking lot to keep your vehicle.

“Not Bad for Price”

Price was very good. First night there it was very noisy. Thin walls and lots of noise in room next door until 2:00 in the morning. Had reserved a room with two queens, they said we had not reserved two queens. Took some phone calls and waiting to get it straightened out.

“In the ghetto part of town. Rundown.”

Stay at this hotel for the free shuttle service. Shuttle doesn't run till 7:00 a.m. Needed to be at the airport by 6:00 a.m. Had to let the hot water run for 10 minutes before it got warm.
