Clean, comfortable and would definitely go back!

The room was large, clean and the beds were amazingly comfortable. The staff was very friendly. Enjoyed our stay and wished we had more time there. Would definitely stay there again.

Pros: It had a nice pool and lounge chairs. It was nice to have a free continental breakfast.
Cons: The bath and pool towels were very worn and rough. The furniture is also worn. More variety for breakfast and other meals would be nice.
Location: Fashion Square is about 2 miles away and Old Town Scottsdale is around there. There is a movie theater in Fashion Square.
This hotel is in a depressed area. There are many vacant buildings around and a lot of car dealerships on E. McDowell. I didn't feel safe walking by myself. There were issues with the cleanliness of the room. All that said, I was told that the hotel had just been sold and I saw many staff working on the landscaping and the building. So, I feel that with the new ownership, it will get better.

Just one night

Posted Oct 15, 2014
Although I was only on-site for one night, my stay was enjoyable. The Guest Services clerk was very friendly and helpful upon check-in. The room was clean and well appointed (and quiet). Breakfast was the basic fare, but better than nothing or searching for something else.

Hotel close to our wedding

Posted Oct 8, 2014
Pros: They did have a nice breakfast area and free continental breakfast. We did like the fact that they used real glasses and coffee mugs in the room.
Cons: Magnifying mirrors on the wall and half and half for the in room coffee.
Location: Desert Botanical Gardens and Oldtown in Scottsdale
We were looking for the Best Western only to find out they were sold the week before we got there and it is now Magnuson. Wasn't too fun waking up to a bug in your bed next to your face. The front desk lady took it back to the General Manager who sent her back to us with sincere apologies. Gave us her business card and told us she would take care of us the next time we came back. They couldn't refund our money because we paid for it through Expedia.

Clean & comfortable

Posted Oct 8, 2014
Pros: It is close to the supermarket & has a refrigerator in the room.
Cons: A microwave in the room would have been a plus.
Location: Very close to Old Town Scottsdale & Phoenix Zoo. Shopping was great & lunch at Grimaldi's was fabulous.
The room was ready upon arrival. It looked clean and orderly. The bed was comfortable & we had a good night's sleep. The Continental Breakfast looked appealing and was tasty. Overall, it was a good experience. I would stay again & will recommend this hotel to others.

Not a good location.

Very inexpensive, also very dated. Typical hotel breakfast. Just didn't like the corner it was on. Rooms had a distinct old smoky room smell to them.

close to the airport

Pros: Very friendly staff
This hotel is clean, and the staff is very friendly. Our stay was pleasant. The title "resort" is not really accurate. The area surrounding the hotel is possibly a little sketchy.

Nice hotel in Scottsdale area

Posted Sep 16, 2014
Pros: Everything
Cons: Having the restaurant open for lunch at least beside the continental breakfast.
Location: This is very close to major roads (Scottsdale Rd and highways) and attractions such as ASU campus and Old Town Scottsdale. Sky harbor was very close.
This is an older hotel, but has been remodeled. I liked the interior setting of the rooms facing the pool and little courtyard. My room was very comfortable and clean. I did not hear any of my neighbors. The coffee maker and refridgerator were nice touches. I slept well every night.

Worth the stay

We have stayed several times and enjoy it, however our reservation was lost in the shuffle of management change. Thankfully we got the last room, however it was considerably more humid than any of the other rooms. Still good all in all.
