Great location. Very well designed from a "resort " standpoint. Typical well trained Marriott staff. Little "ticky-tacky" to charge extra for parking. This hotel, like others, will also eventually cease charging for wifi access. Like the amenities of "go cup" coffee in the early morning plus ice water available throughout the day. Recommend it.

We are happy you enjoyed your stay with us. Sorry the parking and internet fees leave you with such an impression. These are daily fees that we have creatively bundled and packaged so that guests who need these services have options to save and or individually purchase on their own. We do hope you still choose to stay with us when you travel to Tempe. The staff does take a lot of pride in providing excellent experiences for our guests. Thank you again!

Decent hotel. A bit hard to navigate

On the side if a mountain. Hard to navigate your way around and see what is there. Minimal facilities compared with most others apparently. Service ok, Room ok. $10 for parking in self park lot after leaving car at front to check in.

Labor Day stay

Stayed at the Buttes for Labor Day weekend and it was nice I thought the room could have been a little bigger but overall it was a good stay would like to go back for another long weekend

Not as glamorous as they think they are

Hotel is over priced and when you get there, they charge you $10 to park in there lot. It was a very nice hotel 20 years ago but it is way outdated now. I like staying there but they either need to update or lower prices

We are currently undergoing remodels and renovations to keep the property up to date. Our rates now are very low as we are not in season. We do offer an optional hospitality fee at check in to help bundle the additional costs we have and save you some money. Again we are sorry and thank you for the review. In future though, we do offer an optional hospitality fee that bundles charges for internet, parking, and breakfast that may interest you and save you a bunch of money. Avoid at all costs

Food and service are terrible. I will never stay there again. Cannot recommend this place at all.

Nice hotel

Not impress with management! I had a concern with a tip left for the housekeeper. The person who checked the room took it. The answer was they save it for the housekeeper, but housekeeper said they don't get tips.

I am sorry that the response from leadership in regards to your tip left for housekeeping. As we explained before we are very thankful that you take the time to leave appreciation for the ladies in housekeeping. I can assure you that we took your original inquiry seriously. We have processes in place on property to ensure that tips left for the leadies are collected and given tot he appropriate staff. We have not experienced any issues on property with the ladies and their ability to collect tips that are left for them and their hard work. We truly appreciate your concern and appreciation for the team.

The rooms are very old, the beds we're so uncomfortable the sheets felt like paper. The main restaurant had bad food and drinks our hamburgers we're pretty much burnt. The only thing that was nice was the atmosphere. Will never stay here again. We went to get away and get a good night sleep and that definitely did not happen. Oh and there is a 10 dollar fee to park you're vehicle, that does not make sense to me? Never heard of that.
