Grandparent fun

Posted Aug 19, 2014
Pros: Clean comfortable rooms, good family fun
Cons: Service at the coffee cart
Location: Great location, convenient to wear our son's family lives.
enjoyed bringing our granddaughter here again. Wish we had more time to stay. The barista at the coffee cart seemed a little slow and overwhelmed by our order, which was just drinks & a breakfast treat for 3 people.

The summer rates make it kinda worth it...

There's a pool around every corner and lots to keep the kids entertained. It's beautiful at night but really too hot during the day to take advantage of all the $18 extra fee a day a person you pay for the "Resort" activities. The food and drink will cost you as well. Ordered room service; had a "shrimp cocktail" appetizer which was 6 pinky finger size shrimp; a dinner salad which was mostly all various types of lettuces with a few tomatoes and some crappy blue cheese dressing; then had the grilled ribeye which in itself was a very good size, tender, and cooked to perfection. It came with some dry mashed potatoes, boiled cherry tomatoes and I passed on the cream spinach. My bill was $78!!! No microwave and the small fridge was already stocked with their way over priced stuff so there was very little room for anything you have.

Pros: The room, and the staff
Cons: I know it can't be but the parking leaves a lot to be desired.
Location: The water park looked fun and inviting in the 105 degree weather. Hotel is a way from downtown, but not far by Southern Cali standards.
We only spent one night, but enjoyed our room very much. We asked for 2 queens, but got a suite. The third member of the family enjoyed beding able to spend the night on the couch separate from the rest of the party. Our only problem was the twisty, narrow roads getting to the rooms and the parking made driving tight. We had problems with our wifi and one of the employees came to our room to help us out. Though we had an unusual problem that couldn't be fixed he was very nice. All employees were friendly and greeted us a with a smile. I don't think I have ever checked into a hotel as quickly.

Pros: The separate bedroom from the living room
Cons: Cleaner pool areas
The parking is horrible very tight and few spaces for a busy weekend. The pools were dirty. They had a private party that started a 4pm at the main pool of the resort so everyone in the main pool area shared the smaller pool which was packed. The pool by our room had a large group having a party the pool so that was uncomfortable also.

Vacation

It was nice, prices got good and drinks are over priced. The fact that you are not allowed to bring your own room drinks to the pool sucks. They should have a better priced menu at the pool.

Too Hilly and a "Community" Pool

Posted Jul 24, 2014
Pros: The room was quiet, clean, updated, and comfortable. Large and pretty. The gift shop had a great variety of items, and the prices were reasonable!
Cons: Reserve a portion of the cabanas for hotel guests. Limit the number of guests at the pool complex. Establish safe passages/sidewalks.
The room was the selling point of this hotel: clean balcony, comfy beds, always re-stocked coffee/tea service, new bathrooms, quiet. The resort itself was iffy: extremely hilly, with few safe sidewalks for walking to the lobby building, the various pools, and other hotel room buildings. Parking seems like a mess: cars all over, made the resort look like a traffic jam. The fancy resort pools, "The Falls" were so terribly crowded, that they were stressful rather than peaceful. They rent their cabanas to locals, so it is impossible for hotel guests to rent any (!!), and the pools become crowded like a YMCA community pool. On Saturday my family and I left because we could not even swim, the pools were so packed with people; we could only bob up and down in one place. Loud. Very disappointing. We ate at "A Different Pointe of View" which was extraordinarily good, and we enjoyed the BEST WAITER I have ever experienced in my life!!

Too big to be manged correctly

Posted Jul 23, 2014
Cons: staff needs to be retrained and a good cleaning to rooms would not hurt.
Location: location was fair.
Room lacked amenities on day one. Parking is a problem on the weekends. I drove around for 25 minutes before I could find a parking space. Dinning room waiters seemed unexperienced serving tables. Service poor. No bread at dinner time unless you ask for it and dinners, foods too expensive. You can go down the street and eat Italian, American, etc for less money. Also their dinning room did not seem too clean and they open to late in the morning for breakfast.
