Check-in was a disaster. The young man checking us in was more worried about sticking to the script than using his head to reason and be helpful. We have a toddler with us, and he says he managed to give us an "upgrade" for a room overlooking the 'Presidential Pool', which turned out to be a tiny hot tub sized pool. The walking path we were sent on to the room was up two outdoor flights of stairs (no elevator). We couldn't find the room and had to go back to the lobby to ask for help. This time they drove us in a golf cart to the same place we had just been, to find a hidden elevator to another building we were expected to find on our own? The room smelled musty, moldy, and of cleaner chemicals like they tried to cover up the old carpet smell. There was no way I would pay $250/night for such a dump! I went back to the lobby and asked for another room. This time they were sensible enough to place us near the family pool, and this room didn't smell. The checkin process was truly awful. It took longer to get our hotel room assigned than to fly to Phoenix!!! Did I mention there was construction happening all over the property? roads torn up, parking lots closed, everyone walking around confused. We will never return.
