Helpful staffPosted Mar 16, 2013 on Hotels.com
We had great and prompt service and enjoyed the complementary airport transportation. We have a few issues with the hotel room that maintenance was able to fix them very promptly and well. The continental breakfast was also a plus. And it was within walking distance to a few other restaurants. Will stay there again.

Good place during spring trainingPosted Mar 8, 2013 on Hotels.com
Good hotel fairly close to Diablo stadium for some Angels spring baseball. Room was comfortable and clean. It does have a lot of mirrors which is strange. One whole wall was a mirror. Shower has crummy water pressure but gets nice and hot. Staff were friendly, got us extra towels very quickly and called a cab for us. Overall a good experience.

Not up to our expectationsPosted Mar 8, 2013 on Hotels.com
This hotel did not live up to our expectations based on the representations of their website. The pool was puny, dirty, and slimy. There was no real room for lounge chairs so they had a few standard chairs there. the pool was also ice cold. The general condition of the hallways, commons, and rooms was tired and stained. We had two expectations for our room, hot water for a shower and cold air to beat the outside heat. We got cold water and hot air. The only positive was that the staff were great people, but the major negative was that the building and grounds were lacking and/or old.

Pros: nice staff and clean rooms
Cons: air condition system, low water pressure, and gloomy environment of the hotel
Location: safe enough!
The air conditioning system in my room was not working. I asked them to change my room. The second room had AC but it had a loud noise such that I could not sleep first 2 nights. But the rooms were so clean and really nice staff. The another problem was low pressure in the shower.

decent hotel for the locationPosted May 30, 2012 on Hotels.com
The hotel is what you would expect from discount lodging. Fairly clean, but lacking in the finer points. Internet never worked for me (front desk said it was working fine). Room smelled of stale smoke and something trying to hide the stale smoke. Price was higher than some of the other discount lodging in the area. But overall, it was worth the stay. There was good food close by, Four Peaks Brewery within a 5 min walk, about a 10 min walk to the light rail, and 25 min walk to Mill Ave.

If being near ASU is important to you, this hotel will do. Close to everything, clean and basic. If you want anything extra (including a decent breakfast), try someplace else. The rooms were standard and clean, the breakfast was only good if you like institutional eggs and unidentified meat. No fresh fruit, watered down juices, and mostly junk cereals. Staff were friendly.
