“One of the best I've experienced in 18 years”
A top notch establishment. Every hotel should strive to be on this level of quality and service
“Wyndham Phoenix - Downtown”
Convenient location. Good costumer service. Clean room. Quiet.
“Good Place to stay”
Vey easy to get in and out of , very close to convention center
“Comfy and Clean - but no Jacuzzi and eat elsewhere!”
We stayed here for a conference and found it very convenient and comfortable. We walked to the conference center every day. The bar tender, valet and most staff were wonderful. The restaurant food was good, but the service was spotty. After our first meal we chose to eat elsewhere. Note - Coke in the vending machines - Yeah! Car parking was easy and the valets were outstanding! Would have been nice to have a Jacuzzi by the gym area. All in all a good place.
“Very Nice”
The room was very nice. The staff was very helpful. They were willing to accommodate with whatever we needed.
“Can't wait to go back”
Great!
“Great Phoenix hotel”
We scored a great deal for flight + hotel through Expedia, which is how we picked the Wyndham. It is directly downtown and only a short light rail ride away from the airport. The photos on the website + the fact that it has 4 stars were definitely a selling point, and it was also highlighted in the Fodor's Southwest guide. The hotel has recently been renovated, so the decor is definitely modern Southwest, and none of the usual flowery stuff. The hotel was super clean, the bathroom gorgeous, and the bath gel and shampoo / conditioner ones of the best I've ever used in a hotel. The only thing missing was a small refrigerator, but I was able to cool my milk and yoghurt by putting it on ice.
“Would book again”
Great Hotel, just parking choices were: valet, street parking or public garage around the corner--being the most cost effective. I used the public parking garage and walk l block to hotel. Front door staff was excellant and very cooperative in helping me. I would certainly re-book at this hotel.
“Great place to stay downtown, should you have to stay downtown.”
I really liked this place. I was in a King bed suite (with the couch, desk, sitting area) and thought the room and the size were perfect. The cleaning people were there, but not too invasive, and left the masses of my paperwork untouched. This is obviously an older hotel (which means the windows open!) that they have been working hard to update. Yes, there are problems with the wallpaper and the showers/toilettes are NOT water efficient (BAD!), but the effort has been worth it. The bed was comfortable, the pillows were even good. If I had to stay in downtown Phoenix again, I would stay here without a doubt. My complaint: The parking upset me. Although the valets and doorman (Stephen especially) were great, the quoted price is 19$ a day, 1$ an hour up to 19$ a day, and I was charged 23$ a day. Made me upset and I felt cheated. If you do stay here, or anywhere in downtown Phoenix, there is little to do in the evening and few good restaurants to go to. The exception is Hanny's (across the street from the Wyndham) which had amazing food and exceptional drinks. Gre
“Nice Place, but....”
$23.00 for valet parking added to your room...no other option either if you park at the hotel. Other than that, great place.
