Pros: Location
Location: Spring training fields for professional baseball
Hotel could use some refresh; good location for all that wish to see the spring training games for baseball which likely caused the seemingly high price for a basic suite type room

Mixed Emotions

Stayed there 4 nights. First off my hats off to the front desk girls. The two ladies that worked the front desk at my check in was absolutely the two nicest people that has ever checked me in a hotel and I stay an average of 2 nights a week for the last 39 years in hotels. The hotel was clean and was in a good neighborhood. The two problems was; my room(131)was by the elevator shaft/control room. Each time the elevator was used an air type hissing sound went on the whole time the elevator was moving/24 hours a day. I would had asked to change rooms but at check in I needed an extra day (which they found) but I was told the hotel was full then so I figured no chance of that changing rooms. The second problem was that a guest (I believe that was upstairs above me) had two dogs (poodles it sounded like) that barked the whole time they were in the room, day or night. Of course when they went out during the day no barking then, but the minute they returned the dogs barked non stop, between the dogs and elevator noise this was a very unpleasant stay, hotels fault? not entirely, but never in room 131 again at this hotel and the next time maybe the dogs will be at someone else's hotel.

Old Hotel

Hotel needs upgrade. While staff is friendly they need to check rooms out for maintenance, toilet leaked. Dishes were dirty and had to be washed. I was not pleased with the room . Rugs needed to be cleaned. Entirely dissatisfied with the room

Air freshener needed

Pros: For a free breakfast, it was really good! And all the staff we met were very nice and professional.
Cons: The odor in the hallways and rooms.
Location: Mesa, AZ has some great restaurants. Try The Lost Dutchman Coffeehouse .... best cup of coffee around!
We spend 3 nights at Residence Inn. The staff were pleasant and helpful. The breakfast was amazing and came included with the room... always a bonus! The bed was surprisingly comfortable. There was a terrible odor in our room upon check in that never was resolved even though the room was cleaned everyday. In fact, there was a funny odor in the hallway outside our room as well.

Great central hotel. Good restuarants close by. Clean rooms. Great staff. Would stay again.

Nice hotel, easy access

The hotel was nice, friendly staff and breakfast was included. The one down fall is the bed was not comfortable.

Great hotel with super staff in a convenient location. Breakfast was subpar - powder eggs that were over cooked and greasy sausages and bacon that was undercooked, limp and cold. Oatmeal and juices were watery. Extra points for good coffee and for the puppy people - triple points on the pet policy and milk bones at the front desk.
