Room was spotless and very comfortable.

Posted Nov 27, 2014
Pros: The landscaping was beautiful and the rooms were beautiful. Loved, Loved the food!
Cons: The cost of the snacks and beverage in the room were way too high. Make them more reasonable to purchase so that more people would buy them.
Location: Was there for a conference which was held on-site. This made it very convenient.
It is like they say, you get what you pay for and this is no exception. The Scottsdale Plaza was truly a top-shelf quality resort in every way. Felt very comfortable during my stay.

good value for Scottsdale

Posted Nov 25, 2014
Cons: Quieter AC/heat units in rooms are needed and temperature control by temperature would be nice.
Hotel room was clean and hote had excellent gym and recreational facilities. Everything was well cared for on the grounds and in facilities.

Management unhelpful.Safety & Security dangerous

Posted Nov 24, 2014
Pros: Nothing
Cons: Security and personnel. Namely upper management.
Location: Didn't have time for things to do.
Arrived for a four day stay. We would be in meetings throughout the day and late into the night. Second day arrived late to our room and the door was opened and stayed that way the entire day into the night. We called security and they didn't know what to say or do, so they called another security guy. No one took responsibility. A suggestion to move to another room was offered. I don't think a fancier room is the solution to security. When we got hold of a manager he said, "these things happen, we are not perfect." We would have gone to another hotel, but we were stuck, as we had prepaid the room and the manager said there was nothing more he could do. Money is all they were concerned with. Not our safety, and having the door left open all day didn't concern anyone at the hotel.

Golf trip for the guys

Posted Nov 20, 2014
Rooms worked well for a golf trip. Even with two beds in the room it seemed bigger than a standard hotel room. Nice TV and large channel selection.

outdated

Posted Nov 20, 2014
Pros: The sleep was nice, comfortable bedding.
Cons: Really not sure, the grounds are so large, would be impossible to create warmth.
Location: We were in Scottsdale, probably 10 minutes from Old Scottsdale.
Firstly, the property is surprisingly outdated. The pricing was fair, however, our room was far from the main activities/lobby/cafe and therefore, did not create a feeling of warmth that one expects from the Hilton family. The bedding was comfortable and furnishings adequate, just outdated. Some staff (lobby),were peculiar and seemed uncomfortable in making small talk and in particular, a young man on the afternoon shift working the bellhop, actually stared at my grandson and myself, making me uncomfortable. That was awkward. Perhaps your staff could appreciate some classes on social etiquette. The cost for cafe food was overpriced for the amount an the quality.

Satisfactory but showing its age

Posted Nov 18, 2014
Pros: Most of staff were pleasant and helpful. Clean surroundings.
Cons: Invest in refurbishing and modernizing rooms.
Location: Old Scottsadale was nice but overpriced! Tourist be aware.
Total of 6 night stay at sales conference. Went to Flagstaff before Grand Canyon visit. The Grand Canyon was extrordinary, awesome.

Hotel is close to attractions & family friendly.

Posted Nov 16, 2014
Pros: Location & Style.
Cons: The carpets need to be cleaned. There is a rancid odor when you step into the room.
Location: Set in Scottsdale close to Paradise Valley, the hotel is located close to old Scottsdale shopping,Kierland activities & McKormick Railroad park.
We've been here before (older property) and like the location. The carpet smelled musty so we purchased Febreeze and that was a BIG help. The rooms are large and the beds are comfortable. Newspapers were supposed to be delivered to the door every day but 2 out of 5 days they weren't. The staff is GREAT. We will probably stay there again (& purchase Febreeze again too)!

Wanted a comfortable night sleep

Posted Nov 10, 2014
Rustic, bathroom fixtures are outdated. Mattress was just OK, comforter was on the thin side. Luckily there was another blanket in the closet. I expected more comfort for the price.

Nice, relaxing but a bit dated

Posted Nov 8, 2014
Nice sprawling resort with a good vibe. Nice gym (important for me) includes separate cardio- and weight-rooms. Several pools, jaccuzzis, saunas; the smaller ones are almost deserted which is very nice. Grounds well-kept. Housekeeping is fine; not great but okay. The rooms are large; I stayed in probably one of the smaller rooms (2 queens) and it was bigger than most hotel rooms. Plenty of space... One nit: the bathroom is poorly lit and the shower is very dark. The decor is a bit dated, seems like it was 1980-s chic. But, at the same time not shabby... Beds are comfortable. Parking is always nearby and plentiful. Didn't eat at the resort but there are several nice restaurants within a block or two, e.g., Fogon, Ruth Chris and a french bistrot.
