“Do not go to this hotel, it's not worth your time or money”
The first thing that tipped my boyfriend and I off was when our toilet stopped flushing. It was like this for two days (we held out in hopes it was just a fluke) and even used the lobby bathroom, before we complained. The front desk said they would get us into a new room, which they did. Our experience did not stop there though. Housekeeping missed our room on several occasions, when we inquired, the front desk said we had up our 'do not disturb', we did not. So we asked for extra towels to be brought to our room, 'no problem, we'll bring them in 15 mins'. An hour later, no towels. We went down to the front desk to get some, and were told, "Oh, I'm sorry, we don't have any towels." So no showers, we had used the same towels for 2 days and wanted fresh ones. So we had to wait. The room comes equipped with dishes and glasses, however, when you use them, they are not replaced by housekeeping, we ran out of silverware the day before we left. Oh well, we were leaving. The icing on the cake was the fact that you can hear everyone else around you doing their 'business' in the bathroom, as if they were in the room with you. When their shower is on, it sounds like yours is on, when they flush the toilet, it sounds like a 5 gallon drum of water is being poured down the walls between the rooms. Add to this the jet engine loud bath fan (that can't be turned off) and the teeny, tiny pillows on the bed and we were ready to leave halfway through our stay. They don't keep xtra pillows either
“Thin walls and thin floor”
Hotel seemed older but with a facelift. Couch was cheap and stained. I could hear people walking in room above very loudly. Plumbing was so noisy in another room that it woke me up.
“well located”
This hotel is very well located, it is a little old, beds were not comfortable, cost is cheap
“Good for the price”
Talk to Scott, he drives the van and is the hotel "go to guy" He was great to us when we were there. Made the trip easy. Very cool guy.
“Okay”
There was no hot water half of the time in our room, and the room was just outside of the loud generators. Maybe it was just our room, maybe a different room would have been better.
“A definite do-over”
Hotel was great, Large two room suite, but bathroom was to small for my liking Rooms were clean and very comfortable. Staff very friendly and helpful and the free buffet breakfast was the best!!
“Very Great and comfortable, will return there”
The room was clean and comfortable, well planned and spacious, will definitely recommend. The breakfast menu is average but good taste and adequate. The receptionists/ front desk representatives were very helpful.
“A wonderful place to stay!”
The hotel staff was very helpful and friendly. The breakfast bar was excellent and Sal, the chef was a delight! The "Silver Wings Grill" was a great spot to have a leisurely dinner. Debbie, our waittress, went out of her way to make sure we were happy with our meal and even the music in the background! We will certainly tell our friends that travel to AZ in the winter time to check out the Thunderbird Suites! Oh, and the pool was very clean and beautiful. The grounds were kept up nicely. Just a lovely place to relax!
“Disappointing”
The carpet was very badly stained. The chair in the living area was also stained and the sofa was dirty. The arm was ripped, through use I think. The pool was closed for repairs but this may have beeen unavoidable.
“Good Scottsdale hotel”
This hotel had very comfortable beds. It seemed to an older hotel and the bathroom was very small. The pool was very nice--the temperature was perfect. The breakfast had a lot of different options. Everything was kept very clean.
