Nice Stay at Paradise Valley Village
Stayed in the same unit a year ago and it was fantastic! Unfortunately, while still pretty nice, the unit seems to have been a bit abused. Lots of carpet stains and kitchen cabinet door was hanging off the hinges.

It was not made clear that this is a vacation rental. There is not Sonoran Suites to go to. It was a condo development called Elite. It took over an hour to find the place and arrange to pay an additional cleaning deposit. I was told by Hotels.com that my bill was totally prepaid. It was a good price for a three bedroom 2 bath suite but I wouldn't have booked it had I known it was a vacation rental. The suite was clean but well used. We coouldn't lower the thermostat below 74 degrees. Good location if you have business in Scottsdale.

Our reservation was for Sonoran Suites. The night before we got a phone call from a manager saying our room had water in it so they were sending us to another one of their properties. Upon getting the name and address is was very clear it was nothing more than an apartment complex. lots of noise from other renters. We will be very careful to not let this happen again.

No Air conditioning on a 101 degree day
When we entered the room it was over 80 and just kept climbing into the 90s. It was after hours and we called the after hour number. They said they MIGHT get there to fix it. We called Expedia. Expedia called them and were told they were "on their way". No one showed up. I brought 4 fans over from my home. I waited a couple of days to write my review, as I understand that unexpected things like that can happen. But, the company needs to compensate their guest in some way. Still NO WORD from the company. They even still charged me the extra $40 resort fee, which I could hardly believe when I saw my account. I did get an e-mail from Expedia that they are still trying to reach out to the company.....we will see. VERY unsatisfied customer

Our manager has been working with Expedia to issue a 50% refund for your stay, I thought that she had relayed that on to you but again our apologies for that not being reported to you. Again, sorry for the issues you experienced with the air conditioning.

I rented this thinking it was a suite. Location given on the Expidia site showed up just off of I 51 north of city. However once I booked it, found out about the extra cleaning fee and that the location provided was actually main office and the two locations that I had to choose from were well to the east into Scottsdale. Well away from where I intended to stay. When asked to cancel, was informed it was a 50% cancel fee. renters beware....

Terrible experience. Internet & tv did not work. Pool & jacuzzi water contaminated detected by a pool expert. Replacing the roof - the banging was horrible and all the workers could see through your windows. The list goes on & on. Would never recommend this place.

Our apologies for the delayed check-in -- the previous guest mistakenly thought they reserved 2 nights on expedia when they had only reserved 1, so with the guest being at a conference that caused a delay in our housekeeping staff being able to prepare the condo for your arrival.

don't rent here
this is not a hotel, this is someone renting out their apartment. The staff on-site said they are in violation of their lease, so i would not stay here. Hotels.com should not allow them to advertise as a hotel. there was no hot water amd the staff made no effort to correct this after i notified them. inconvenient location in the rear of a massive apartment complex. dirty sheets and mud stains on the floor. Just go with an actual hotel.

not really a hotel! it is a condo timeshare

The stay was ok. The area was nice, but this is definitely an apartment complex with long-term tenants. I was a little put off by all the additional paperwork that had to be done, so I don't know if I'd stay again as there is no one on property to deal with issues and it was more complicated than my usual bookings. The room needs some definite updating, c'mon people, it's not the 80's southwest anymore and the sheets were 100 thread count and scratchy, not to mention that ALL beds are two singles shoved together (pictures make you think differently-read fine print). The TV's were also about 10 years old and the TV channel selection was weak. The property looked nice and we did have covered parking which is a big plus in AZ in the summer. The pool looked nice but it was too cold to swim. If you want a seriously NO FRILLS stay, this is the place to go. Not a bad place but I only gave it 3 stars because of the lack of comfort (bad sheets, furniture that's dated and worn, bad TV's, and uncomfortable beds)

Absolutely vital that you understand unusual booking conditions. We booked the day before and by luck only, a few hours before we were due to check in, on our way to Scottsdale, we logged into wifi in a restaurant only to find an email had just come in telling us that a photocopy of drivers licence and credit card was required along with registration forms. When the online forms had been completed, we then were given the gate password, and room Dropbox code, to access the key. There are no staff at the property. Had we not seen that email, we would not have been able to get in. Totally ruined our lunch. Apartment was spacious and clean, but the shower dripped all night and the bed was really, very, very uncomfortable and creaked badly. If the very unusual registration requirements had been made clear when booking, and the bed renewed, it would be very good. Keirland is a very convenient location indeed.

If you like to stay somewhere clean and cozy do not stay here! If you like a clean comfortable bed do not stay here ! If you like clean linens do not stay here! Pull back the comforter and unveil your surprise of the mystery stains! If you would like to sleep on the couch to rid yourself of being uncomfortable on the bed that is about a foot too short Because it's two twin beds shoved together with nothing more than a mere sheet holding them, then don't stay here! The couch is twice as uncomfortable as the beds. If you like clean carpet on the bottom of your feet and do not stay here ! If you want to watch TV through the night to keep you from shoving bamboo shoots underneath your fingernails because you can't sleep on and comfortable beds then don't stay here! Don't forget to bring your plastic wrap because I'm pretty sure there was bedbugs. If you happen to be a person who loves filth and this is the place for you! If not, please learn from our mistake and good luck. Ps. Went to sister property and was scolded for these people subleasing to us!

How sonoran suites does business is very imoral. We got their two bedroom suites for like $175 a night because it was like 50% off special price. Orginial rate was like $350. So it sounded like an excellent deal. When we got there, we immediately realized it is never a $340 hotel room. Never ever. They lure you in with a fat discount, when in fact discounted price is a fair price and should be a regular price. They make you believer that you are getting such a good deal. It is very deceiving. The place was never a $350 room at all. It is an apartment with no reception, no restaurant, none. It is just an apartment rental. The room itself isn't too bad, but once again no one would pay $350 a night for a place like that. Look at sonoran suites' other locations throughout the country. They are always on 50% special deal to deceive you. I would never use sonoran suites because they are not very honest in conducting business. Finally I got big bites on my legs in bed. It looks like flea bites. Or maybe bed bug bites if they bite.

Read the terms and conditions before you book
We needed a place to crash for one night, Turns out this is not a hotel, but a corporate apartment. There is no front desk. It took ma almost an hour of aggravation to figure that out and to complete the check in process using my smart phone. This might be a good choice if you wanted to book a longer stay and to take advantage of the resort. READ ALL TERMS AND CONDITIONS BEFORE YOU BOOK. I should have read the other reviews before I booked. They are all on target. Not to be all negative, it's a nice place to spend a week or more. Not a good choice for an overnight stay.
