Paradise in the Desert!Posted Aug 25, 2014
Location: We loved being close to Cave Creek.
We stayed at the Boulders for six nights in August. Our casita was beautiful and the resort is quiet and peaceful! The grounds, pools and golf course are beautifully maintained. We can't say enough about the wonderful staff and the service we received. We will definitely be back.

Lovely retreatPosted Aug 24, 2014
Loved staying here. Very secluded and relaxing. Toilet paper was cheap, but everything else seemed very nice. You have to like walking to enjoy this because all of the rooms are dispersed in mini-casitas around the lodge as opposed to up an elevator flight.

Restful retreat for the weary business owner......Posted Aug 16, 2014
Pros: It's beauty, peace and all around lovely serene setting.
Cons: We arrived almost at midnight and were starved as we had not ate since noon. Perhaps asking guest if they have a food request at the time of rez.
We were looking for a place to "defrag" and have no real schedule to do anything! Boulders hit the mark! Although it is the most peaceful place I've ever stayed there is plenty to do if you so desire. This property is Perfect for reading that book you have been wanting to read either on your glorius porch with a view in the early morning hours or sitting by one of the 3 gorgeous pools all day long. Hiking in abundance into the amazing desert, world class golfing, 5 Star Spa, fabulous food all on propterty! Shopping & perusing artisans and craft shops in charming villages close by. One thing we would change is staying another week!!!

Beautiful resort A staffPosted Aug 14, 2014
We had a wonderful experience from check in to check out! The resort setting is very unique and beautiful, staff is friendly and very attentive. We weren't overly impressed with the Spotted Donkey but the main restaurant was very good.

Pros: The layout of the property is amazing and the staff that took care of us really seemed to be happy where they were employed.
Cons: Wish the pool area was bigger, but it's very beautiful.
Location: Easy location to get to...Cave Creek is a fun visit...golf was great...food always consistent.
This was our second visit to The Boulders and it was just as lovely as before. Location...comfort...service...play and relax.

Pros: Distinct landscape, beautiful grounds and surroundings, quiet and low key accomodations.
Cons: I can't think of a thing.
Location: I played golf both days at Desert Mountain (I've played the Boulders several times before, but couldn't fit it in the schedule this time, as I was inv
I came to Phoenix for a quick weekend of real estate hunting and golf. I stayed at the Boulders because of its proximity in north Scottsdale to my destinations of visit. I retired back to the Boulders each evening for dinner, and enjoyed both night thoroughly. I especially liked the Boulders margarita and the ribs. The afternoon rain evening added a quietness later that evening, making it a different place after the late afternoon storm and lightening. Everything, including the pace of life, was relaxing.

Good stay, great bed!Posted Aug 5, 2014
Cons: Stocked honor bar, later and expanded room service menu.
Location: Most restaurants and amenities off property are several miles away and you're at least 10 miles from the highway that takes you back to Phoenix.
The Boulders is a nice resort situated in the desert north of Scottsdale. The room was nicely furnished and the staff could not have been more polite. The only problem I had, and it wasn't that big of a problem, was that if you needed your car, or wanted to go pretty much anywhere on the resort, you had to wait for a pickup from the staff. Again, not a problem, just not what I was expecting. Due to an error on my part, I was in 1 casita near the resort center while my wife and son were in a larger villa further away. The best feature, I think was the fantastic bed. I haven't slept so well in years. The one addition I would make to the room is a stocked honor bar, given the gift shop/pantry is a golf cart ride away. Aside from that, a nice stay. Next time in the area, will check out another property, but The Boulders is great.
